Summary: i still enjoy it.
Review: after ten years, this is still a book i enjoy picking up. it reads light, but it is fast and emotionally true. edgy for a so-called "kid's book".

Summary: Tiger Eyes
Review: This is one of the very few books that I've borrowed from the library and had to get a copy for keeps. It's been one of my favourite books ever since I was 12 and I'm 14 now. It captures the reader and vividly describes about the main character, Davey and her trials and how she copes with the loss of her father without her mother there for guidance, who is also getting over the death in her own way. Adding the part about Wolf, (the guy Davey meets in a canyon) made the book reach an appropriate climax and it's mostly Wolf who helps her through by just being her "friend". The best part was when they see each other in the hospital while Davey is visiting her favourite patient who turns out to be Wolf's dying father. This is a definite read for anyone who is tired of the happily ever after stories, or just anyone who's looking for an excellent novel in general.

Summary: A realistic approach to a loss in the family
Review: "Tiger Eyes" is mainly about a death in the family and how it almost tears a family apart. Davey's father gets shot and killed during a robbery at his convenience store. It makes Davey and her mom real depressed, so they decide that they need a change in scenery. They go to stay with Davey's aunt and uncle in New Mexico until Davey and her mom get back on their feet. While there, she will experience some major turmoil with her aunt and uncle, but to ease it up a little, she meets Wolf while she's exploring a canyon, and he's somewhat going through the same thing she is. Davey has to find a way to help her mom and herself get over the tragedy, while trying to do what she can to put her life back together.

"Tiger Eyes" is a great book, and it's realistic. Judy Blume does a great job in making the reader see the pain and grief that can happen when something like that occurs, while keeping the reader wanting to read more and more. If you like good realistic books, "Tiger Eyes" would be a great one to get.

Summary: This was a great book!
Review: I loved this book. I was at my library and it was the first one that caught my eye. I couldn't put it down. But the only thing that really got me a little mad is I want to know what happens to Wolf and Davey afterwards and how Davey's life is afterwards.

Summary: This is a very emotional book...
Review: This is one of those rare books that ALMOST made me cry; the emotions are raw, the characters real. Davey is all torn up after her father's death, but when her family moves to Los Alamos the stay with her aunt and uncle she meets Wolf. He helps her find herself again, slowly. The end is bittersweet, but somehow it fits. I loved this, and I think it speaks to the teenage heart in many ways.

Summary: It couldn't Happen to Me
Review: I read this book when I was 12, I instantly admired Davey for her strength. I looked at the love side too, but not as much as the loss side. I think Wolf was symbolic of when something is lost, something new comes around, not to take it's place, but to remind you of the memories. I never knew how right I was until I was 14 and I unexpectadly lost my father. I traveled to Colorado for the funeral and who was it there to remind me of him? My brother Andrew who was born 2 month after his death (my parents were divorced and he was remarried and my step mother was 7 months pregnant at the time of my dad's loss). I applaud Ms. Blume on this book, as well as thank her, and let her know, that I know of at least one person she has helped through her writings...me.

Summary: Amazingly Powerful and Realistic
Review: Tiger Eyes is an amazingly powerful, shockingly honest, and completely realistic novel. I am 14-years-old and have read it about five times ... each time I have enjoyed it more than the last and learned something new from it. I can completely relate to the character of Davey, although I have never experienced such a tragedy as she. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is experiencing the challenges and joys of the teen-age years, and any adult who wants to remember what they felt like.

Summary: Tiger Eyes
Review: What a book!I just couldn't put it down. If you love soppy stories, as I do, then this is the one for you. The main plot is about a girl whose father is killed in a shop raid, and the shaken family go and live with the aunt and uncle as they are scared that the killers will come back for them. All seems pretty grusome dosen't it? But the plot changes quickly. While on a walk she meets a man called Wolf who calls her Tiger Eyes and she falls in love with him. BELIE VE ME YOU WILL CRY!
