Summary: One of my high school favorites
Review: 15-year old Davey has just experienced the tragic loss of her beloved father via a robbery shooting. Her mother, unable to cope alone, accepts an offer of help from her sister-in-law, and thus Davey moves with her mother and younger brother from their home in Atlantic City to live with an aunt and uncle who are practically strangers to them in New Mexico. While there, Davey encounters unfamiliar rules, unexpected complications (eg, a friend's drinking problem), and some unlikely sources of support. As her mother deteriorates, Davey learns to cope with her own grief while at the same time negotiating the usual trials of being a high school student. A wonderful, moving book that would be especially appropriate for teens who have experienced a loss in their own lives.

Summary: a meaningful book
Review: Davey, a 15 year old girl is very sad about her father being shot in his store. This book is about how she recovers from his death with the help of her friend,Wolf, who she meets in New Mexico at her Anut and Uncle's house. Durning the book she starts to understand that her father would want her to go on being happy and not keep thinking about his death and how sad she is. You should read it if you are a Judy Blume fan or if you like books that end with a good meaning instead of fairy tales that end with everyone being very happy. It is not a thrilling suspence novel but it will have you turning every page.

Summary: An extremely meaningful book
Review: This book was extremely powerful. I loved it. Watching Davey try to cope with grief over her father, her mother who is losing grip and her annoying aunt and uncle and confusion about the world really made you feel with her. Judy Blume has an amazing way of writing. Her sentences are the kind that make you stop and think before turning the next page. They are so full of meaning. I wonder how she does it, her books are always so real, she really understands us teens as if she is one. The story and meaning was so powerful,it made me cry at times. And Davey was such a strong and loveable character. I really encourage all to read this book, it is something to think about. It is one of the best teen books ever. And it isn't fluff about first kisses and breaking up(trust me, even us teens get bored of that), it has real meaning like all good books should.

Summary: Good Book
Review: This was a great book giving a look at a teen's method of dealing with grief. The character development of Walter and Bitsy was the most fascinating to me in how manipulative they were even though their intentions were honorable. This is not my favorite book, but I recommend it for a young person who is dealing with the loss of a loved one.

Summary: One of Judy Blume's many excellent titles!
Review: This book is a must read for young girls. Davey is a convincing character, who conveys heartfelt emotion, and shows great strength through very, very difficult times. Never boring, and full of surprises. I loved this book. (By the way, don't read all the book-report like reviews on this; they'll ruin all the surprises.)

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read
Review: This book is so good. When you first start to read it your emotions are feeling bad for her. As it progresses it gets better and better. It is about a girl named Davy who loses her father in a shooting at their 7 11 store. She has to move to New Mexico to live with her father's sister. She moves there and meets a cute guy named Wolf. She likes him and all that good stuff. She has to go to school there because her mother is to emotionally down to go back to Atlantic City. She goes to school but she does not enjoy it very much. So her friend asked her if she was interested in a job. It was a candy striper. This is someone who visits sick people in a hospital and delivers medicine to them. She likes this man. She likes him because she feels that she has someone to talk to. She keeps on having to tell herself that when he dies, not to be upset. Than one day she walks in and there is this boy in the room. His name is...
This book was so good! I think anyone will enjoy the book!
