Summary: This book is not as precise as the math book should be
Review: After carefully reviewing this book, we found a lot of ambiguity concepts and inproper presentation of the Math theories. In addition, the strategies introduced in this book is somehow misleading students who are going to take the SAT exam. We sincerely hope that our comments and concerns can improve the quality of the next version of this book. We have catagorized our comments into: (1) The mixture of subjects, such as Arithmetic and Algebra, i.e P.39 #10 should go to Chapter 3. (2) The strategies of problem-solving. (3) The selection of sample problems. (4) Standard format of problem-solving. (5) Twenty-five (25) printing errors. We would like to discuss more regarding this issue with you. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerly Yours, Zong-Jian Zhan

Summary: HORRIBLE - Filled with ambiguities and careless mistakes!
Review: Having found Princeton's AP books especially helpful, I was surprised to find so many egregious errors in this SAT prep. Completing the practice sets was an exercise in frustration because so many of the answers given were based on a misunderstanding of the question as stated. The author and editor must be either very careless or have some serious mental difficulties (I'm hoping for the former, for their sake). DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!!! The SATs are stressful enough without having to deal with such sloppy work - some poor souls may actually be more damaged than helped by this math "workout". Save your money - or, better yet, try Kaplan's, Barron's, or the College Board's "10 Real SATs".

Summary: Princeton Review SAT Math Workout
Review: I thought that this book was extremely helpful in preparing for the SAT's. Having read the other reviews on this book I must disagree with some of the comments that were made. This is a review book and not meant to make up for lack of effort in previous math classes. It cannot teach you everything but I found it to be very helpful in improving my score from the PSAT's to the SAT's. For the one reviewer who thought this was the wrong book for anyone who wanted over a 650, he is wrong. I got a 620 on math PSAT's but a 740 on my math SAT's. This improvement I owe greatly to the review done with this book.

Summary: The best
Review: I used this book in 9th grade and got a 700. Nothing else needed to be said. The best I've found.

Summary: OK book
Review: If you are considering preparation for the SAT, NEVER buy Princeton Review. This book contains a multitudinous amount of typos and insufficient explanations. I have had bad experience with Princeton Review. If you are shooting for higher than a 650, do not even consider this book. UGGHHH!

Review: Like the reviewer states, this book helps to learn SAT math, specifically teaching to the test. As such, it is a relatively good review for the SAT math.
