On her journey to uncover the secret path, she discovers many things. She even has an admirer who will do almost anything to win her love, even stealing a car. This is a book that you will never want to put down. I highly recommend you to buy this book.

Review: This book says that the people you think are crazy, may just not be you. It says that unpredictable things happen but you can have something you want if you try hard enough, and someone is always watching out for you, whether or not you know it. I'm only 11 but it is so simply written, I can understand the moral.

Summary: Oscar winner book!
Review: Chasing Redbird is the best book I have ever read in my whole entire book-filled life. Try putting together fantasy, romance, adventure, mystery, and a lot of laughter, and you get Chasing Redbird. It is about a young girl named Zinnia, who finds a mysterious trail, and doesn't know while she is uncovering the mysterious trail, she is uncovering the very trail of her life. She meets a dashing and debonair young boy named Jake Boone, who wants to open up Zinnia's cold heart, and get her to like him so much, that he'll go so far as to steal a car. Zinnia ends up having the mystery of her past revealed to her, and a secret nobody ever told her... one about the trail she is uncovering, and an abandoned cabin she finds. After that, she finds a mysterious medalion that she thinks is connected with her aunt's death. In the end, Zinnia finds out who she is, and what really happened when she was behind closed doors....

Summary: This book is so good it's wonderful, great, sad, and funny
Review: I read this book for a book report that I had to do for school. This is such a good book. It is so good that I didn't want to stop reading it. Also it is so funny sometimes you would be laughing over and over at the same paragraph. I really like this book and I have also read Walk Two Moons by the same author: Sharon Creech and its just as good. I really recommend books from Sharon Creech. She is such a good author I have realized the those two books are about a 13 year old girl and those girls both live in Bybanks, Kentucky. Also I don't want to confuse anyone or give away any thing but Zinnia Tailor from Chasing Redbird was a friend of Salamanca Hiddle in Walk Two Moons. It was very fun to read this book and it really was good and interesting.

Zinny could have just freaked out and stopped uncovering the trail and just go backs to being Zinnia Tailor: Killer. But she didn't and by uncovering the trial she uncovered some memories in her mind about her Aunt Jesse and her cousin Rose. I think that it was pretty brave of her to go all by herself and uncover a trial full of unexpected thing you never imagined. I really think you should read this book: everyone.

Summary: YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK! IT'S WONDERFUL, TRUTHFUL.......
Review: Chasing Redbird By: Sharon Creech

YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK! IT'S WONDERFUL, TRUTHFUL, INTERESTING, FUNNY AND EMOTIONAL! Reviewer: Tiffany Pollack from New York City, N.Y. April 4th, 2000

My 6th grade peers and 6th grade teacher told me how great Chasing Redbird was and I decided to give it a try. Chasing Redbird was a great book and I would recommend it to any young adult who enjoys reading a book with a little mystery and a little adventure and to anyone who had special people die when they most needed them. I mostly thought it was interesting because this girl, Zinnia, who wanted to be recognized by her family and other neighbors by doing something that, would help people notice her. Therefore, she would be able to feel appreciated other people and her neighbors. Throughout the whole book there was a felling of humor, romance, love and other feelings. This is the most interesting book I read since the beginning of the school year since sometimes I don't pick out good books so instead I listen to everyone's recommendations. I think that I am a little like Zinny because I also want to be known as someone who did something good for the community and for something that I believed I could do, not because of my family and other people I know. I recommend this book to everyone!

Summary: Sharon Creech's Worst Book
Review: This is definitely not Sharon Creech's best work. The plot jumps around alot, and takes some really big leaps into fantasy land. This girls parents actually let her spend weeks camping in unknown countryside, by herself, without ANY adult supervision at all, Just because she feels she NEEDS to. Would your parents let YOU do this? Talk about "Oh my god I have a hangnail, so now I have to climb Everest." I am normally a big fan of Sharon Creech's Books, but this one kept getting worse. I liked the story about Rose (her cousin) and Aunt Jessie, but she elaborated on it so much that, by the end of the book, it had cycled down into something completely unreal. This book also lacked Sharon Creech's usual humourous touches. O.k., her siblings, Ha HA, but really they just don't cut it. For anyone who is contemplating buying this book, don't. Go out and get Walk Two Moons or Absolutely Normal Chaos, buy something good for a change.

Summary: Hilarious one moment, saddening the next.
Review: This book is crafted so wonderfully. One moment Zinnia, the book's narrator, is making you laugh hard, and the next she's making you cry. That's just part of the brilliancy of this book. Zinnia is a wonderful, insightful, witty narrator. She does a wonderful job of guiding you and guiding herself on and through her personal story. The idea of uncovering a lost trail is enthralling, and Zinnia's tale of personal loss and guilt is saddening. I enjoyed this book very much.
