Rating: Summary: Great Review: This was a great book, though it was very sad.
Rating: Summary: A truly FANTASTIC book! Review: I loved this book!!!!!!!!!! It shows that all you need to achieve a dream is a sense of direction and determination. Zinny certainly had that.
Rating: Summary: You will never feel the same Review: This book is a fine peice of work. You can't stop reading it untill your done. You are in a world with Aunt Jesse, Rose, and Zinny. You can feel what they feel. They discription is amazing!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: This is a book the you can't put down. Review: Chasing Redbird is one of the best books I've ever read. It is about a girl named Zinnia She finds a trail near her farm. She calls it her trail. Nothing is ever hers so she thinks this has to be. She decides to find out more about this trail. She uncovers all the stones and rocks. And plants flowers. She starts to untangle her life and figure out the answers to the things she feels are myestrys.
Rating: Summary: A truely MARVELOUS work of literature! Review: I loved the main charater, Zinny, because she was a very quiet and closed up person, but slowly unfolds, and lets her personality loose. She finds a very old trail, and feels that she MUST uncover it or she will 'be struck down by the hand of God.' When she's on the trail, the author makes it so interesting and adventurous, that I SO want to be there! All alone and uncovering a mystery to her family. All along, she has an admirer that she can't believe would actually like her instead of her sister, May. She has mixed up feelings over this matter. Anyways, this whole book is funny, sad, sweet, and charming all mixed in one! I LOVED Sharon Creech's other books Walk Two Moons and Absolutly NOrmal Chaos just as much!!! Sharon Creech is truely my most favorite author!!!
Rating: Summary: A novel for all ages that warms the heart ... Review: How interesting that in our digital age there are some authors who still write books that sound like "Little House on the Prairie" ... This is a beautifully written short novel that is destined to become a classic. Zinnia Taylor, the middle daughter in a huge family, feels tremendous guilt for the deaths of her aunt and cousin. She finds a trail near her rural Kentucky home leading the next town and resolves to clear it ... discovering some family secrets as well as herself in the progress. Every bit as good as the author's beautiful first novel, "Walk Too Moons".
Rating: Summary: This book was one of the best books Ive ever read!!! Review: In the small towm of Baybanks there lived a 13 year old girl Zinnia Taylor and her mom, dad, 3 brothers, 3 sisters (aunt,Cousin)& her uncle. Her and her cousin were born at just about the same time and were so mauch alike people mixed them up! But when Zinny and Rose(cousin) were 4 Zinny cought whooping cough and then Rose caught it to and died. Zinny felt responsible for her death. Since Rose's death Zinnys aunt and uncle have always treated Zinny as a daughter. Then one day Zinny discoverd an old path that she later found out was called the "Baybanks-Chocton trail" Zinny spent alot of time clearing away the trail. Then one day when she was on the trail she discoverd a stone that had a hole under it, and in the hole was a liitle pouch that had a golden medallion that had the initials "TNWM" Zinny was confuse and spooked so she showed it to her aunt-along with a snake! In response her aunt crawled in a drawer and died. Zinny also felt responsible for this death. Theres alot more but if you want to know what happens you'll have to read it yourself!!
Rating: Summary: so wonderful while so sad Review: i cried at the end and it was emotional and moving. when her sister was dead and zinnia tells about the drawer stuff i was so sad and all. poor thing and aaunt jesse and all it is to sad!
Rating: Summary: I read it once, but once is not enough! Review: Zinny a child of 6 kids, clears a path of which answeres all her questions, like: Does Jake Boone actually have feelings for her, is Uncle Nate really seeing his dead wife, and daughter, and more! I love Sharon Creech's style of writing, and I defidently plan to read this novel again, and again.I reccomend this wonderful book to anyone who is seeking to find their inner-self, or anyone who has read the also wonderful,"Walk Two Moons".
Rating: Summary: This book is Sharon Creech's best yet!!!!! Review: Zinnia Taylor is a lonely, forgotten child. Then she finds trail a trail near her house. She sets out on a mission to finish clearing the trail by the end of the summer. This book is great and I reccomend reading it to anyone who reads this.
