Summary: Sharon Creech can REALLY write.
Review: I think Sharon Creech did an awesome job while writing Chasing Redbird, cramming so many stories into one suspenseful novel. The author did a neat job portraying the tangled life of the middle-child, Zinny Taylor. I think Ms Creech should write a sequel to this!

Summary: This book is excellent !! A "STAY UP ALL NIGHT" kinda' book!
Review: This book is great! It tells of a young girls struggle with having such a big family and everyone thinking of her as "which one are you?," since her family is so big. Zinnia(Zinny) Taylor is the main character and is still coping with her cousin Roses death who died of whopping cough, when she was four (nine years ago,)and she got it from Zinny. It shows her on personal struggles of coping with her own personal issuses, by her visiting "her" trail. Since her Aunt Jessie died, she has been feeling real sad, not to mention her Uncle Nate, who was her husband. He calls her his sweetheart still and calls her Redbird..because of her red hair. He chases her around(even though she's dead), because he can still see her, and so can Zinny's brother Ben! Why can't "she" see Aunt Jessie though?, she wonders, and now that Jake Bonne's back in town, May(her sister), is interested! He's changed alot in his looks...and he's changed from liking the peron he did years ago also. What will become of Zinny? How will she get through these ordeals in her life? I read it in 2 days...and stayed up to 12:00 a.m. reading this book! It's a great book, and I hope that Sharon Creech will continue writing books. She surely is VERY talented!

Summary: Sad stories make a book more interesting.
Review: "Life is like a bowl of spaghetti, every now and then you get a meatball." Sharon Creech uses sad stories to make a book more interesting. She also likes to write about people on a mission. I just finished the best book called Chasing Redbird by Sheron Creech. Another good book by her is Walk Two Moons. Zinny Taylor, about 12,tries to untangle spaghetti. It's like untangling her life. Red worm swarming in a bowl with brown mud on top. Does it work? She finds a long forgotten trail and uncovers it stone by stone. Will she ever finish? Zinny lives with her mom, dad, sisters and brothers, her Aunt Jessie,Uncle Nate, and Rose. She gets wraped up in a trail and while doing so she discovers a lot about her past. I liked this book because it was very intersting and told a story, a good but sad story. I also thik this book would make a good movie. The book Walk Two Moons is a good book too. I liked it better then Chasing Redbird. But I think if I read Chasing Redbird befor Walk Two Moons I woulk like them both. Sharon Creech doesn't have an weaknesses in her books but she has a lot of deatiled discription. Will she get eaten alive? Will she finish the trail? Does her life straten out? Does she get over her miseries? You must read this book to find out.

Summary: Overall a good read...
Review: The Lone Star Eager Readers, at Pat Neff Middle School, gave this book four stars. Chasing Redbird by: Sharon Creech, is about a thirteen year old girl, named Zinny, that lives in a small town, Bybanks, Kentucky. Zinny uncovers family secrets while clearing a twenty-mile wilderness trail, and in the process loses the guilt she assumed cncerning the death of her aunt and cousin. We thought it was a good book although we concluded that it was not very realistic. For example: Zinny is thirteen-do you really think that her parents would let her go out on the trail for ten days alone? Overall this book is suspenseful, satisfying, and all together a good book. A book for all ages.

Summary: It was a okay book
Review: I think that it is a good school book but a little dull. It is a good book if you like a little bit of romance and adventure mixed together.

Summary: A WONDERFUL STORY
Review: This book is very close to you as you read it. For me some parts were sad. You feel as if you were going through the pain and the joy with the characters. You can feel the emotions ofeach person. In the story a young girl uncovers a trail to find long ago secrets of herself and her family. When the book ends you wish for more.

Summary: Not entirely original, but a good read.
Review: Chasing Redbird follows Walk Two Moons in more than one way. The plotlines are similar, but they are varied enough to make each one different and thrilling. I read my copy through in a few short hours, turning pages without noticing, the story was so captivating. However, I do have a few complaints. I feel that this novel was very similar to Walk Two Moons, as both are odysseys to uncover the truth about death taking a loved one. This was not very repetitive here, but if the author continues these identical themes, it will most likely become boring. Another aspect which I disliked was the way Creech attempted to follow Kurt Vonnegut by bringing in characters from past novels. Vonnegut does not make this obvious, and in his novels the interplay enriches the plot. This style has utterly failed, and the plot of Chasing Redbird could stand just as well without Sal from Walk Two Moons. Despite all my complaints, I did enjoy the book greatly. I found the scenes wi! th the main character's uncle chasing Redbird to have a beautiful aire around them. I found myself entranced as the mystery of the trail and the medallions unravelled, slowly but surely. The way Creech describes the trail makes me long for some kind of long project of my own. At the end of the book, I felt contented, along with the main character(who's name I can't even remember after five hours.)
