Summary: A great book that is impossible to but down!!!!!!
Review: I thought this was a terrific book. My favorite part was when she was telling about how her sister May got all the boys. I think May sounded mean and jelous of something all the time. I also thought it was really cool who she was allowed to stay up in thr mountains all alone. It was great that Zinny finished the trail.

Summary: I enjoyed the book with some reservations about the plot
Review: I greatly admire Sharon Creech's writing style. She has a wonderful way of getting into the heart and mind of a young girl who is grieving, as she did in WALK TWO MOONS. Zinny is a terrific character who came alive and was very real for me as a reader. I think Creech has enormous gift with language and I particularly love her expressions like "skinny as six-o'clock." These are delightful and fresh! I found my credibility stretched too far with the path clearing that she was allowed to do on her own for so long without any adult supervision. It was clear that the pathway lead through dangerous areas and that she was many miles from help. I was most disturbed, however, when I came across the scene in which Zinny covers her uncle's face with a pillow. I was not sure how appropriate this was for young readers and I was not clear of the reason for the scene in the author's mind. It was slipped in and then not processed very well in the story regarding Zinny's motivation or contemplation of her action later in the book. I am interested in other readers' reactions to this scene.

Summary: My favorite book
Review: Chasing Redbird is my favorite book. I just discovered Sharon Creech a few days ago, and I've read 2 of her books so far. Both superb. The thing I love most about Chasing Redbird is how I can relate to how Zinny feels. Trapped, confused, alone, crowded-out. The mission that she goes on is truly admirable. All of the feelings that she has are the same ones that I feel a lot. Her determination is amazing. I'd rate this book with 10 stars, but unfortunately, the highest ranking you can give is 5. I plan on reading all Sharon Chreech's books.

Summary: Chasing Redbird
Review: "Chasing Redbird" by Sharon Creech is my favorite book and the best one I ever read. I have also read other books by Sharon Creech which I reccomend called "Bloomability" and "Walk Two Moons." All three books are the greatest!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: My favorite book ever!
Review: I read walk two moon first and it was my favorite book, then I read this one and forgot all about Walk Two Moons! This is by far the best book I've ever read and I was so sad when I finished it, I wanted it to never end. It actually made me cry at the end. I could really know how Zinny was feeling even though I've never been in a situation like hers before. I will read it again and again and you all should too!
