Rating: Summary: Satisfied Review: One of my students recommended this book to me. It was a great read. Thought-provoking. Sentences are a little longer than average for your typical YA novel, probably attesting to the education of the author. Can I say that I loved the adventure and scavenger hunt? I also loved that this was one high school book that seemed to make a statement about how we all have lives that have meaning to us, and that we (and most often teenagers) don't recognize the lives that are forever being impacted around them. I was sad that this book had to end. I could have kept reading it forever...
Rating: Summary: Leap ahead! Review: This book was my first experience with Wendy Mass' work. I couldn't put the book down and read it almost completely straight through. The book is so creative by showing not only the thoughts and emotions of the main character, but all the people the main character interacts with. The story is honest, humourous and touching. A must read for any young adult.
Rating: Summary: Josie's DaY Review: Wendy Mass is a very good author, and I liked this book a lot. It was interesting to know what everyone was thinking, and especially interesting to see how their perspectives were different from Josie's. I didn't give it a full five stars because at times, it would get a bit boring. But all in all, it is a good book for teenagers.
Rating: Summary: LOVED EVERY PAGE!! Review: Whoever didn't like this book must have completely missed the point! Yes, teenagers are self-centered. We HAVE to be! Every single character in this book felt totally real to me and i'm 16, too. I also laughed so hard reading it that the teacher in study hall took it away for the rest of the period. My friends are fighting over who gets to read it next!
