Rating: Summary: Another good one Review: This is the second novel by Sarah Dessen that I have read. There is something about her writing style that makes her characters and their stories very real and intriguing.
The plot is not spectacular, and is predictable. Again, a young princess falls for the social outcast, mystery boy. The characters themselves are what make this a good read.
The main character, Macy, has worked hard to make her life as routine and safe as possible. She feels she needs to be perfect for her mother and in trying to do so she becomes numb to her own desires.
Prince charming shows up in the form of a co-worker and though Macy resists at first, she eventually gives in to love and a new look on life.
This is a fun, happy read and I recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: wow Review: WOW is really all I can say about this book. Sarah Dessen has always been one of my favorite authors and with The Truth About Forever she doesn't let me down. If you've read This Lullaby you'll absolutely love this book. The story follows Macy a girl who's father has died and hasn't really lived her life ever since. She thinks her life is alright because she has the perfect boyfriend who is perfect, she is focused and knows what she wants, to be perfect. But when summer comes along her boyfriend goes to a camp leaving her at a job she hates. Thankfully she is saved by a new group of friends. Wish Catering needs her help and she needs it. She learns about herself and is working to get it right, whatever that means. I don't want to give anything away, so I can't say much of anything else. Except that I LOVE WES! he has a huge part in the change within Macy. Read the book! It's worth getting!
