Summary: A good book, in the traditon of all the L. J. Smith books
Review: This is a really good book, about a girl named Gillian who comes back from a near-death experience with "Angel", an entity that only Gillian can see and hear. He teaches her to be popular, and gets her the guy she's always wanted, David Blackburn. But then Angel starts asking her to do weird stuff that hurts the people near her, and she has to find out who or what he is, before he destroys everything she loves. It's a good book, as I said before, and a nice addition to the ever-growing tapestry of the Night World series. It has interesting characters, and a new Harman witch in it, which I think is really great. I also like how she puts Ash in there, too, so that you know he's still around. I can't wait until Black Dawn comes out. It can't come too soon! ~Sunn

Summary: Worst Night World book
Review: This is the worst book in the Night World series. Gillian is LJ Smith's worst heroine[Mary Lynette is the best] Gillian is superficial, all she thinks about is being the most popular girl at school and getting David. David is the worst Night World hero[Thierry is the best]. He is stupid[he cheated on the SATs].If you haven't read any of the Night World books, don't start with this one.

Summary: the worst book in the entire night world series!!!
Review: this is the worst night world book that i owned and im sure every1 agrees this 1 [is bad] alot/ first of all gillian is a stupid little sissy whining girl who cared only bout the stupidest things - being popular and getting her crush david to notice her obvioulsy she wasnt being herself she was just like every1 else- wanting to be popular like it was the most important thing in the world to her thats is very stupid of her 2nd the plot was really stupid and boring and didnt mention any vamps, witches, or shapeshifters or the night world in particular. another reason why this book [is bad] the only part i like is that there's an apppearance by one of my fave characters of the series-ASh i swear he would be more funner 2 read if the book was only bout him!!! angel wasnt a good character either and david [wasn't either]!! i recommend teens 2 not by this book it really stinks alot!!

Summary: The best Night World book
Review: This one is my fave Night World book - the whole time I waswishing *I* knew someone like Angel, real "guardian angel" or not! It just seemed a little dumb that Gillian would want him to use all his powers to makeher *popular*, of all things. But then she and I don't have much in common, so oh well. The ending was kinda sad - I personally would have kept Angel around, and dumped David if he had a problem with it. But it was still good...

Review: This was my first LJS book, recommended by a friend, who is a book critic. I was hooked on LJS books ever since. I have read every one of her books and have found them excellent.

Review: This was my least favorite Night World book yet. But the fact that I rated it a 9 says how good the other books are.

Summary: A waste of your time...
Review: This was the worst book in the entire Nightworld series! Not only was Gillian a weak, little mouse of a character, who didn't even see that her "angel" was a complete psychotic jerk when it was obvious, but she defined herself through what others thought of her. She couldn't be strong and stand up for herself until she was popular. In addition, her 'soulmate', David was a joke! In all other books, the Soulmate Principal is described as falling into each others minds, being able to see each others' very essences and being completely connected to them. However, the only reason David liked Gillian was because she suddenly dressed with a little more style and she got a new haircut.

Right....very romantic...I can just here the sentimental music swelling in the background..The "hero" of the story's only motivation for loving the heroine is that she's hot. Great.

Compared to the other books in the series like, "Black Dawn", "Soulmates", "The Chosen", "Witchlight" and especially "Daughters of Darkness", "Dark Angel" is a complete waste of your time.

Summary: Worst book by LJ!
Review: Totally hated this book. Now, don't get me wrong, I love LJS and most of her books. Actually, all of her books except this one. Totally borring and predictable.
