Summary: dream book
Review: Sarah Dessen once again provides readers with a wonderful and sad story of a girl pulled into drugs and abused by her controlling boyfriend. As true of all Sarah Dessen books, the plot is unique and the book well writtten. I love Sarah Dessen and this is a great book it you have read her books or want to try them.

Summary: everything
Review: this story resonated.

i have almost nothing in common with caitlin. i have never been in an abusive relationship. but i could feel what she was feeling as her story unfolded. it was slow moving, as though she was so weary. weak from all that life had given her.

i watched caitlin fall in love with rogerson, and while i knew exactly what would happen, i could feel myself understanding. almost believing all that she believed. when she had the choice in front of her, rogerson the mystery man or mike's letter jacket, i could feel myself wanting her to choose rogerson.

that's how engaging caitlin's story is. it reminds me of everyone, everything. makes me want to be more aware of myself. to watch out for my friends. this is a story that needs to be read.

Summary: The lure of the bad boy
Review: Let's face it - at one time or another we seem to fall for a bad boy. One who is gorgeous but looks like trouble. This is a story of a girl who feels so much pressure on herself to be good, that she is inevitably drawn to a boy who is bad.

But how bad is he? And why is he bad?

Sarah Dessen has drawn two wonderful characters in this book, Caitlin and Rogerson. They are not one dimensional figures, but have personalities that leap off the page. We discover how victims become bullies and how love hurts. This is a truly remarkable book, one that really sticks in your mind long after you've put it down.

Summary: Dreamland
Review: Caitlin's life seemed to be twirling into a downward spiral. She wanted to please her parents like her sister did, and mend her own broken heart because her sister ran away from home without telling Caitlin. She then went into a relationship that she thought was a paradise relationship with a male named Rogerson. She soon found that he was a drug dealer, but she didn't care because she loved him anyways. she started drinking and taking drugs with his influence. She then found that he was an abuse victim. Rogerson's father abused him everyday. Caitlin started cheerleading because that was the only sport her sister hadn't got into before leaving. Her parents were proud but they were also too occupied with Caitlin's sister, Cass. Roberson then started to hit Caitlin. She didn't tell anyone because she didn't want to break up with him. He then did it on a regular basis. Caitlin was afraid. On a part that her parents were throwing, Caitlin was in Rogerson's car and he punched her face. She fell out of the car. She was then put in a hospital and her sister came home.

I liked this book because Caitlin was a character that was in a situation that could fit many girls. I wanted to read on to find out what happened next. All aspects of her life are interesting, in ways, very depressing. It was a case that many teenage girls are in today.

I also disliked this book in a way. It wasn't really a page-turner. Those books are the most interesting. It doesn't have any cliffhangers. It's sometimes boring to read this book because of this. It also had bad words. Tough, all in all, it was a great book.

Summary: Dreamland
Review: Caitlin's sister has just run away. Caitlin can't believe Cass would do something like that. She needed her.
Then Caitlin meets Rogerson...who is popular, rich, and a troublemaker. Their relationship starts off great until Rogerson starts hitting her. Caitlin seperates herself from her family and friends while she goes off into her own little dreamland.

I really enjoyed Dreamland. It posessed everything I like. Anyone who has read Sarah Dessen's books before will love Dreamland.

Summary: Amazing!
Review: This book was absolutly amazing! This is the only book that acually made me cry! (And it's highly unlikely for me to cry under any circumstance.) You'll fall in love with Rogerson, you'll miss Cass, you'll wish you were Boo's daughter. It's just so amazing! Highly recomned (I hope I spelled that right) to everyone. All of her other books are amazing too.

Summary: really good
Review: dreamland was such a good book- i really couldnt put it down. i hate to sound like everyone else out there that says those same words, but i had been looking for dreamland for quite a while before i found it because it for some reason was not stocked at my local bookstore. dessen writes beautifully, and the descriptions are perfect... you can almost see rogerson and why she could easily fall for him. it is sad to know what to will happen to caitlyn eventually, and you can easily read the signs while she is too lovestruck to see them. overall, i think this book is really powerful.
