Summary: Caitlin's Story
Review: Of all the book's of Sarah's this is the one that made me cry more, there were parts were I was just crying so hard that I could barely read.

The story goes like this:

On the moring of Caitlin's sixteen birthday Cass, her "perfect" older sister, runs out with her boyfriend Adam, chosing New York over Yale and leaving Caitlin's family chrushed. Caitlin's father feels betrayed by his daugther, her mom barely realizes of anything anymore, and Caitlin is left alone to start her junior year with out her sister, with the sole support of Rina, her best friend, and Boo and Stuart, neighboors and best family friends.

Rina convinces Caitlin to try out for cheerleading, because that was one of the few things that Cass never did. Surprisingly and not really wanting to, she ends up being picked out for squad. After one of her games, Caitlin, Rina and another cheerleader stop in a carwash and there she meets Rogerson Briscoe, and things heat up with him.
Suddenly he is everywere, and Caitlin suddenly finds herself with a brilliant cool boyfriend.

Rogerson, however, has lots of long stories... and lots of dark secrets. Caitlin doesn't care, he is taking her places where Cass has never been. One day, Rogerson's dark secret comes out, when he hits Caitlin for the fisrt time. Not ready to leave him yet, she stays.

And the story goes on, Caitlin has fallen into a box, sealed with love and need, feeling trapt but lacking the will to scape, she hides the bruises and resumes to Dreamland... were things don't seem so bad.

All the characters are wonderful, Caitlin and Rogerson relationship well descrived, Boo and Stuart, Rina, Cass, Corina... I highly recomend this book.

It's goes beyond the hiting problem, i think you can identify yourself there because more than about domestic violence, is about finding yourself when there are no pointers showing the way.

One of my favorite parts is when Caitlin wonders what would she think if saw this photograph of this girl that sits in her boyfriends lap so easily and how happy both looked (the ones in the photo are her and Rogerson), she says that she would have think that her life was perfect, just like once she had believed Cass's life to be perfect, she says that she had learned it was too easy to just asume things

Summary: Drama With A Relationship...Amazing Read
Review: "Dreamland" is an amazing book to read if you like drama books. Sara Desson takes you through a relationship with Caitlin where her boyfriend Rodgerson abuses her. At first the relationship was fine. Rodgerson picked Caitlin up everyday after cheerleading practice. Soon Rodgerson started taking Caitlin around and to his friend's house but always left Caitlin in his car while he went inside. Caitlin soon found out that Rodgerson us drug dealing. After awhile Rodgerson starts to get angery about something going on at home and starts to abuse Caitlin. Caitlin starts to lie to her friends and family to cover up the marks Rodgerson gave her. Caitlin doesn't hangout with her friends anymore and quits cheerleading all for Rodgerson. Rodgerson gets her into doing drugs so she doesn't remember the stuff he does to her. I rate this book 5 stars!!

Summary: Dreamland
Review: This is an excellent book. My 11th grade english teacher just had us read it for our class and I ended up finishing it like a week before the class did. I just couldn't put the book down!! Which is very unusual since I dont like to read much. If you like the more realistic problems of teenagers and what they go through in certain situations then this is a perfect book for you.
Caitlin is a 16 yr old girl who wants nothing more than to be different from her "perfect" sister. She meets up with Rogerson who was sweet, smart, and the "bad boy" style. This attracted Caitlin right away. As their relationship grew stronger the anger came out in Rogerson exploiding is violent behavior. How does Caitlin deal with this?? Read to find out.

Summary: Disturbing Reality
Review: I thought this book was a painfully true recollection of a girl's abusive relationship. I thought it was so well-written and emotional. You could feel how Caitlin was feeling, understand herpain and her worries. I would recommend this book, its so real, you almost wish it wasn't.

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: For me, this book offered a very realistic view into the life of a girl who is abused by her boyfriend, and helped me to understand why this sort of thing happens. That book should be a definite read for all teens (and adults) out there.
