Summary: A BREATHTAKING EXPERIENCE,THAT YOU WON'T EVER WANT 2STOP REA
Review: This book was incredible! My best friend told me to read, DREAMLAND, which i did. Caitlin & the other characters seemed so real to me that I sometimes forgot that it was just a story. I couldn't stop reading, until i was: A) tired or B) finished completely. It took me 4 days to read Dreamland, yet it seemed like a forever. I became very attached to Caitlin, Cass, Corinna, Boo, & even though i'd hate to admit it -- Rogerson, too. Whenever Caitlin was about to get hit or punched or even kicked i'd have a huge knot grow inside my stomach. As if I, too, felt some of her pain, even though that's impossible. I fell that I somewhat relate to Caitlin, but not in as many ways as you'd think. I, too, feel like I'm living in a Dreamland. Each day slips away, like it were a dream made up by my very own imagination. A part of me wished that Caitlin would've told everything to her photography teacher, Matthew, when he pointed out something about her picture of Rogerson:

Matthew nodded, his eyes still on the photograph. "It looks," he said in a lower vioce, just to me, "like you know him a little better than he'd like you to."(pg 152)

I wished & wished after he said it that Caitlin would somehow fall for him, yet she never did. I believe that Rogerson jumps to conclusions way to fast & is very impatient, I could never be his girlfriend, ha! Oh there's so much I'd like to say about DREAMLAND, but I'd give the whole story away & I'd hate 2 do that! All i can say is that the ending is incredible. Sarah Dessen leads the reader through a story that teaches Caitlin, that sometimes the ones we love the most, hurt us the worst.

*No one can explain life, therefore it is a mystery.*

Although Christopher Pike is my #1 writer, I do find this book just as good as his own. I'm even inspired that Sarah could write something like this, so real, so passionate, so sad. I've read one other book, this summer, besides Dreamland that's made me very emotional & grown attached to the characters. The other book was The Last Vampire Series, by Pike. They both made me very teary & even happy at times. Each of the authors actually let you fell what the girls themselves fell,{Caitlin & Sita)as if you were them. The 2 writers are an inspriation, both to me & millions of other young adults in the world. I truly think if your a teenage girl you should read this & FAST, you'll learn a whole lot about life if you do. I hope Sarah can write more incredible novels like DREAMLAND, where dreams arent just real, they are lived...does that make sense? maybe it doesn't, but it sounds right, to me at least. I maybe confusing you, but everything can become confusing if you dont take the time to understand it. Well I do hope you take my "wonderful" advice & read Dreamland in your near future. Trust me, you'll thank me when you're through reading it! ;)

Summary: Another wonderful book by Sarah Dessen
Review: This is the 3rd Sarah Dessen book I've read and it was the best. Following close behind is Someone Like You. Then her first book, That Summer, which didn't blow me away nearly as much as the other two.

Dreamland is about so many things--Caitlin's sister running away, Caitlin's downward spiral into drug use, her abusive boyfriend Rogerson, her friendships with Rina and Corinna, her bond with her next door hippie neighbors, and so much more.

The things I like about Dessen's books is that they are so incredibly realistic. You can relate to these people. The characters are so developed, the scenes so believable that you can SEE them as you read. Her way of writing allows a movie to run in my head, I can see these people, hear them, feel what they feel. No author has ever made me experience that before.

This book made me laugh and cry and most of all, think. I am still thinking about Caitlin today.

Summary: A five star Novel
Review: Dreamland is a wonderful book for anyone who likes to read "intense" novels that are full of surprise. I found myself finishing this book within the first day of purchase and I was very satisfied with what I had spent my money on.

Dreamland will show you that you do NOT need to get into abusive relationships and it shows the reality that some people are living. Dreamland also touches on issues such as first love and how sometimes the person you think you love, could really be your downfall.

If you like books with real issues then this is a VERY good read.

Summary: Caitlin's Story
Review: With a blend of love, hatred, loss and renewal the book Dreamland is told.
On Caitlin O'Koren's sixteenth birthday, her sister Cass was gone, a runaway. Caitlin's older sister was perfect it seemed and she was on her way to Yale. Caitlin's family cannot understand why Cass left. Caitlin has always been in her sister's shadow and is also shocked. Sad and alone, she only has her best friend Rina and her family-although her family is busy trying to win Cass back and Rina is busy with her own life. Then Caitlin meets dangerous and mysterious Rogerson, an abused teenager who takes Caitlin in and loves her like no other. Then, though, as they grow closer, Rogerson starts to beat Caitlin.
Will Caitlin ever get out of this abusive relationship? Will her sister return home? So many questions keep you rivited until the conlusion where you beg for more.
I loved this book. This book is wonderful and thought-provoking. Everyone always thinks they'd have the sense to get out of a abusive relationship, but this book asks you the ultimate question that everyone tries to forget-What if the person you loved the most was the person hurting you?

Summary: Excellent characters, plot, and message
Review: Once again, Sarah Dessen brings to life wonderfully vivid and imaginative characters. Dreamland will make you laugh, cry, and wish you could keep on reading Caitlin O'Koren's story. Caitlin has always felt like she was in her "perfect" older sister's shadows until her sister runs away. Suddenly Caitlin's life has changed, not only because of her sister, but because of her new boyfriend, Rogerson Biscoe. It is the story of an abusive adolescent relationship and the story of the search for one's self. Dreamland teaches you the importance of loving and caring for yourself and also teaches you that each and every person is important no matter what. A must read for teenage girls. This book made me take a really good look at my life and what I wanted out of it.

Summary: Dreamland
Review: I felt the novel, Dreamland, was a book to learn by. Although Caitlin had to face very traumatic incidents in her life, the people who read the book learn by her mistakes. We see what the actual consequences are, although she didn't see them at the time.It is awful for one human being to go through what she did, but look at how many millions of other girls it touched. Although this was a fiction book, it could very easily be true in someone's life. It takes a very brave soul to live in torment like she did, and the book also shows courage through that. It teaches young adults, that no matter what you may go through, you have the strength to come through it.

Summary: For the Ones We Love
Review: This book is a book of self-control... bottled feelings... and emptiness. I never thought I could learn so much from one depressing, sad, but entertaining book. There is so much to learn from Caitlin, the main character of the book.
Caitlin is the "let-down" of the family. It's not that she does anything wrong, just that her sister is perfect in almost every way. Student-body president, star of the girls' soccer team, homecoming queen, and about to attend Yale University. Right before she's supposed to go, she runs of with a guy, Adam. To help her mom cope, she joins the cheerleading squad. Though Caitlin hates it, it helps her meet this guy, Rogerson. She quickly falls in love with him, and they're the fairy-tale couple. Soon, he starts to take out his anger from his dad on her. The book is about Caitlin dealing with her problems...and "starting something that somehow she couldn't stop."
Through the pain that Caitlin endures, we come to realize that things don't always work out the way you think they will. Most people think they know what they would do if a certain situation came up, but the truth is, so many people wouldn't follow their plans. Caitlin knew that what Rogerson was doing was wrong, yet she couldnt come to stand up for what she believed in. As weak and crazy as it sounds, she loved him, and the love outlasted the pain.
I recommend this book to high school students, it helps you understand the reality of teens in unhealthy relationships. The lesson in this book is that life isn't always what it seems to be, make healthy decisions... if not for yourself, for the ones that love you the most.

Summary: Dreams
Review: Dreamland is about a girl that is having a hard time in this point of her life. Caitlin is a teenager that has an older sister that has runaway. Caitlin is trying to fill in the hole left by her sisters leaving. The only problem is she does not fill it the right way. Caitlin gets a new boyfriend that is really abusive physically. Caitlin is so deep into her sisters departure that she stays with Rogerson until it finally gets out of hand and Rogerson is taken to jail. Caitlin goes to rehabilitation for about 1 month. I Think people should read this book so they can know that things like this can really happen and if you don't stop it before it starts it can really be dangerous.

Summary: Dreamland review
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. It was hard to put it down! It was really descriptive about what was going on in Caitlyn's life, and how she felt. It is a really good story of love, loss and friendship.

Summary: Dreaming
Review: This book is very much like teenage life. Not excatly like mine tho. When you start to read this book you get into it so much it makes you feel like all your problems go away and you get in to the problems of the book. it makes you feel like your looking at this girl life and you are studying it. I think this is a great book to buy.
