Summary: A mouse I¿ve welcomed into my house
Review: When Hermux Tantamoq, a mouse, put on his shirt depicting many varieties of cheeses, I decided the book was adorable. Cozier than an Agatha Christie mystery (how could it not be with all the fur and such), Time Stops for No Mouse is as close to Raymond Chandler as you can get using talking animals. The plot is delightful and inventive. The characters are rich and multi-layered. Don't let the cuteness of it all fool you. Michael Hoeye has written a book for all ages.

Summary: Time Stops For No Mouse
Review: A watchmaker. A Reporter. Three Villains. An Unlikely Hero. A Hostegess and Lying, deceit, murder and twists of the plot all star in Michael Hoeyes Time Stops for No Mouse.
A mild mannered watchmaker known as Hermux Tantamq lives in a huge city called Pinchester. In this huge metropolis mouse, mole, rat and all kinds of other rodents live together but NOT in harmony. Hermux lives a normal life until a Linka Perflinger arrives with a destroyed watch and demands to have it fixed to keep perfect time by 11'o'clock tomorrow. Hermux falls in love with her and when Ms Perflinger does not return to collect her watch Hermux decides to find out what has happened to her. He meets up with reporter Pup Schooflen and enlists his help in the search for ms Perflinger; and on top of this all he is having his hall re-decorated by the same Tucka Merslin who shattered his great-great-great-great-great Grandfathers Hourglass in an experiment for Tuckas New beauty product and the same Tucka Merslin who seems inexplicably linked up in the Mystery. However these problems pail in the light of his discoveries at the mysterious Last Resort Health Spa run by the shady Dr. Hril Meenus in which he checks in under an assumed name.
This immensely enjoyable book is perfect for a bit of light, comic reading or a serious novel that addresses many issues such as loss of a loved one, and the beauty of the world around us; but it also addresses the equally important issues of the normality's of life, the importance of routine and then what happens when your routine life is taken apart, your moralities and loyalties challenged and you are left with a fresh view of life and a new take on the world. It really made me feel for the characters- if one is hurt you feel pain, if one angry you feel anger with them and if they are sad so are you.
I feel this a must read book and rate it in my top 20 books (which is being shaken up a lot with the advent of the Carnegie Medal) It has a fast pulse yet has
All the elements I would look for in a book is suited to anyone who wants a good read and it made me think about the world around us and helped me to appreciate the normalities of life. Even now I am still thinking about it and it bounces around my head when I go to sleep and I hope it continues to do so for it has given loads of fun and good dreams for weeks after reading it.

Summary: Time Stops for No Mouse
Review:   Hermunx Tantamoq is a regular mouse. He has a regular life, lives in an ordinary apartment in the city of Pinchester, and he works hard at his job, fixing watches. One day, Linka Perflinger, mouse pilot, walks into Hermunx's shop, and Hermunx's life becomes totally twisted around. For one thing, Hermunx is practically head-over-heels in love with Linka. Then Linka has to go and mysteriously disappear, so of course, Hermunx must set out to find her. He runs into schemes and people he thought he would never run into. For instance, a wacky cosmetics tycoon, an evil plastic surgeon, and a huge army of evil lab rats. Hermunx is now running against the clock to save Linka, and he realizes, too late, that time stops for no mouse!
Although I could never relate to the wacky characters in this book, this is definitely one of my favorite books of all time. I love all the crazy characters, and it kept me at the edge of my seat! I couldn't put the book down. I always needed to find out what would happen next! I recommend this book to almost anybody, because it's funny, scary, suspenseful, sad and happy all at the same time! I think anybody would enjoy Time Stops for No Mouse.

Summary: this book rocks!
Review: This book is my favorite book. If you havn't read it your missing out on a wonderful book. Michael Hoeye is an awesome author and he comes up with great names, ideas, and endings. While reading this book you will learn tons and I hope, enjoy it. Hermux is so neat and all of the characters are well explained. The ending is the best ending I have ever seen in a book, read The Sands Of Time too. I can't wait to read Michael Hoeye's next book!

Summary: Wonderful story of a mouse with a sense of beauty
Review: Hermux Tantamoq is a watchmaker who lives a quiet life with good friends and a pet ladybug named Terfle. One day Ms. Perflinger, a beautiful adventuress, sweeps into his shop with a broken watch which must be fixed immediately. Dazzled by her, he agrees. Several days go by and she doesn't pick up her watch. An obnoxious rat tries to getit without the proper ticket and Hermux becomes suspicious. He follows the rat and subsequently is convinced that the adventuress(and aviatrix) has been kidnapped. A secret formula is involved. Hermux has adventures he never dreamed of.

This is the kind of children's book that the parent will have a hard time putting down. Hermux and his friends are realistic and alot of fun to read about. The best part is that the good guys win in the end.

Summary: An Exciting Thriller written well!
Review: Being more of a fantasy reader for a while, I decided to go back to mystery and picked up this book. It really is wonderful! It is well written and follows through to develop all of the characters very well. The wonderful thing is; you cannot determine what will happen as there are so many powerful twists and turns that will have you biting your lip as you read! A wonderful book for all ages, although the names are a bit tough to learn at first, they soon become part of the mystical charm that is Time Stops for No Mouse. Michael Hoeye is a wonderful writer who gives the reader detailed and vivid pictures of everything in the book, which makes for an even better one. A must read!

Summary: Couldn't Put the Book Down
Review: This is a delightful book by Michael Hoeye. It is about a mouse called Hermux Tantamoq who lives in a city populated by animals called Pinchcester. I loved this book because it was humourous at times while also telling things the way they are without making up anything. Since I loved this book I read the sequel, it's called The Sands of Time if you're interested. Mainly the plot is about how Hermux Tantamoq learns about life, time, and acceptance... and how to deal with it. I strongly urge you to take the time to read this book.

Summary: pure delight, a page turner
Review: I cuddled up with this book and read it in six (too short!)hours. A well written and delightful story, with subtle messages about love, courage, self-esteem and the sweetness of pure friendship. Our Portland, Oregon book group is discussing the book at our March meeting, and lucky us, the author will be our special guest that evening.

I would recommend Time Stops for No Mouse as a gift for every birthday on your list, from the 10 year old to your 93 year old Aunt Mary. For sure, Michael Hoeye has a dear heart, and a best seller in his paws.

Summary: Funny
Review: This book was fun to read. While it was almost 300 pages, the chapters were short, and it had a neat font. The details in the book are really good. The animals in this book are exactly like people. One of my favorite parts is when the lobby of the Apartment building gets redectorated to look like a crime scene.
