Summary: Better than the first
Review: Whatever Happened to Janie starts off more interesting than the first book, The Face on the Milk Carton. Only, this time, the book starts with the Spring family anxiously awaiting the return of their daughter Jennie. But when Jennie arrives, everyone's disappointed. She won't eat the food they serve her, she stares at them all the time, and she won't let anyone touch her.

Stephen and Jodie (Jennie's older brother and sister) are really upset/put off about Jennie's attitude. For twelve years they both worried about her - if she was alive, if she was dead, if she was hurt, etc. And when they finally get to meet her, they realize she's a spoiled brat and getting kidnapped was one of the best things that happened to her.

The twins Brian and Brenden (both younger than Jennie) don't really care about her one way or another...they're always into sports.

But Mr. and Mrs. Spring are both depressed about Jennie, and offer her the chance to go back to the Johnson's house. Will she accept?

This book was better than the first one, and I cannot wait to get the 3rd in the series!

Overall grade - A+

Review: I really enjoyed this book. When, Janie Johnson turns into Jennie Spring, she has problem changing. I thought the part when she had to leave Connecticut was pretty sad. Once in a while, this book got a tad boring but I still loved it. If you havent read these books, I suggest you do cuz they are the best.

Summary: Whatever Happened to Janie?
Review: In the book Whatever Happened to Janie?, the main characters are the Springs, the Johnsons, and Janie. Janie is a dizzy redhead, Jodie (her sister) has a little less hair, is nice, but can be quite temperamental. Stephen is the troubled brother. Brendan is a better athlete than his twin brother Brian. Mrs. Spring is a worrywart and Mr. Spring is a lot like Janie. Mrs. Johnson can get depressed easily, but can be a very fun person and Mr. Johnson can usually tough things out, but is a happy person. The setting started in Connecticut then went to New Jersey, and back to Connecticut. Janie goes to New Jersey and doesn't try to fit in, but the whole Spring family tries to help her. Later in the story she goes for her first day at school. Then the police asked questions of what happened in the mall when she was 3. Janie told them the whole story based on what she remembers because the police want to find Hannah, her kidnapper. I really enjoyed this book, but you would not understand what is going on if you didn't read the first book. This book is fiction. The age group would probably be from 9-adult. Once you start this book you won't want to put it down. The series of books by Caroline B. Cooney is The Face on the Milk Carton, Whatever Happened to Janie, The Voice on the Radio, and What Janie Found.

Summary: Whatever Happend to Janie?
Review: I think this book is great. Caroline B. Coonie really had out done her self. Make sure you read the first copy The Face On the milk Carton. So you will be able to understand the second version and that is Whatever Happend to Janie. That book is about a girl who is 15 years old and her name is Janie Johnson. One day she had seen a facxe on a milk carton that looked familiar. It had said Missing child with a picture attached to that one Big Word. Later she find out it was her and that she was kidnapped by Hannah. Hannah was the daughter of the Johnson's. Even Hannah's parents at the moment had not known that Hannah had kidnapped ion stead they thought that Janie was there daughters child. So when Janie demands to know who her real parents are she finds out. And thats when she moves in with them. SHe really hated staying there. She loved Her parants back in Conneticut. She acts very self-fish. Thats the part i disliked baout her i couldn't stand her actin glike she suppose to be angfry at them and that it was all their falt. But JAnie did not think that they were in pain all those 12 years that she was missing. When the Springs her real family crying she was riding horses. You have to read and find out if she says and stops being selfish or she goes back to her family.

Summary: A GREAT READ!
Review: Whatever happened to Janie?

I have read an extraordinary book called Whatever Happened to Janie? , by Caroline B.Cooney. I have several reasons why I love this book. For example, when Janie finds her face on a milk carton ,and she finds out why she was kidnapped. She finds out something else about her parents, and she finds out she was kidnapped in a shopping center in New Jersey. Second ,she discovers her name is not Janie Johnson it's Jennie Spring. She would not go by Jennie, but only Janie. Finally, when Janie got tired of staying in New Jersey so she ended up somewhere else. I think you should read The Face on the Milk Carton, the sequel to understand this book. I have found this book fun and exciting to read.

Review: This book is okay. It went sort of slow. And I if I was her I would of told them that I didn't like it there after the first week. But overall it was a good book. When the ending comes it's like thank god!! I would recommend this to ages 12 and up and to people who like mysteries.

Review: This is the one book that makes you sooo happy you have 1 set of parents. In this book Janie/Jennie say's she doesn't have enough love to go around. With a new life, a new school, and a new family all at once it is going to be really hard for her to learn to share a small house and a big family, when living a big house and small family for 12 years.
