Rating: Summary: MASTER THE SAT 2005 (w/o essay) Review: I bought the MASTER THE SAT 2005 (last chance before new SAT) book and I spot quite a few mistakes so far, mainly in the Maths section. This has to do with exponents and regular variables. I have spent too much time looking to see whether they have made real mistakes, and after confirming with a maths professors, they DID in fact make mistakes and this is true in their case. I have also emailed and contacted the Petersons company for a response to clarify the situation, but they have yet to reply after weeks. It is with true regret that I need to complain about this book with little mistakes that might ruin one's confidence in the SAT. Luckily, the other parts of this book are well thought out, though the best prep is in Math and DEFINITELY NOT VERBAL. If you want a book for Math strategies, get this, but for Verbal, DO NOT.
Rating: Summary: useless book Review: I bought this book for about $13 though not from Amazon. The questions in this book are not like the questions on the SAT at all. Example - 709-635=x What is x? You will never see a question like that on the SAT. Absolute waste of money. Even the model tests do not resemble the SAT in any way.
