Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Not great! Review: It is like all the other vampire books out there and it kinda wasn't that great. I think the only reason everyone is reading it, is because of the author's age. The book wasn't original.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: a shout-out to young writers everywhere Review: this book was a little bit of a shock to me. first, when i read it i was like, what's so great about this? but then i read it again and i was amazed. i've read it so many times since then. it's a wonderful book. it's started so many people writing who didn't think it was possible because of their age, including myself. so many people have realized that it can be done so they've started their own books. (i'm sixteen and my novel, inspired of course by the success of 'Forests', is called 'The Dream Theory'...) because age doesn't matter; miss atwater-rhodes has proved it. just write. that's the important thing.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: You see, it's a drama Review: If you liked this book, just wait 'til the others come out. Ilove all the books(no, I'm not crazy, they just haven't come outyet)!-even if they don't completly corrospond with my Buffy mythology. But, you know, the vampires on Buffy are demons, totally different from Risika and Aubrey and all the others. They have souls. Human beings cursed with immortality and bloodlust. After a while they just surrender to the bloodlust. And some, like Aubrey, learn to completly disregard their human souls. It's quite sad, actually. That's why I promised the author I would never stake Aubrey in one of my scripts(he would have to make a special guest appearence). That is, of course, unless she has him roaming around Sunnydale and he tries to bite Buffy. Or Willow. Or Oz. Or Xander. Or Giles. Or Joyce. Or if he beats up Spike. Grr-hiss!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: good Review: I think this girl's good at writing. I am a thriving writer. I finished writing a novel called "Stanley's Jackknife" and it is over 100 pages. I like, sent it in already and I should be getting a response in October. I hope to get the luck that she got. She's a good writer for her age and I liked her book, although it could have had more suspense to keep me reading it. Yes, it was good, but it also needed a little work. Other than the fact that it needed more suspense, it was pretty darn good and I think that Amelia is going to suceed, but hey, that was her first novel and she hasn't gone to college yet, but give her a break. I'm the same age as her, maybe a little younger. I like to write, like she does. Look for my book soon. I hope she writes more.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Real nice book! Review: Umm, I'm 11 and I'm currently working on a book called 'Gift from Heaven' I will work hard to get it published, I have already got a lot of the setup and stuff done. Anyway, I was very pleased with what was in the book. It was very emotional, yet expressed with good humor. I will read the series that are to come, if there are any. Amelia, keep up the good work!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Good Review: This book was pretty good and it took me a day to read it. It really inspired me because I sent in a novel that I had writted last August. I hope to get luck like she got. She's the same age as me and I think her characters were very well described and I felt as if I were there, observing it. Very good. Keep up the good work.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Definitly one of my favorite books Review: When I first saw this book at a bookstore I was definitly interested, but I was worried that it would be too short of a book for me. I eventually got and I loved it, and I can't stop rereading certain parts over and over again (which is actually a habit of mine) especially the end. Though I did finish it fast, I enjoyed every bit of it. So did my younger brother. And being a young writer myself it encourages me to actually finish one of the novels I have started writing. I think that the only things that In the Forests of the Night lacked simply come with maturity. That's why I am very much looking forward to the following novel. Rock on, Amelia!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Okay but.... Review: Yes the girl can write, and she does have talent. But the plot was unoriginal. Those who have not read a lot of vampire novels will be pleased with it, but those who are fans of Anne Rice's Vampire Cronicles will see it as the same old story. I'm glad to see that a teenager is published. I think that part of the reason the book is selling so well is because of the girl's age and not really the novel itself. I am looking forward to see how she matures and improves. And I hope the next novel (if it is about vampires) stays away from the old cleche.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great book for a young author! Review: I read this book in one sitting, and was very entertained by the plot as well as the intense good vs. evil development of the characters. Since I, too, am an aspiring teenage author, I was very inspired to even see a book by someone so young on the shelf, much less think so highly of it. The whole book, especially the fight scene at the end, builds on a strong moral rivalry between Risika and Aubrey/Ather. I found the ending a bit of a let down, but the quality of the novel as a whole made up for that. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially other teenage writers. Congratulations, Amelia!
