Rating: Summary: Worth-while Read! Review: I thought the book was very good, although the ending wasn't too great. It didn't tell much but I guess Cooney was saving what happened for the conclusion book!
Rating: Summary: Sparkl1590 Review: I've finished reading this book. After doing a book report on it for English, I've come to the conclusion that although the entire book circled around Janie it really strayed away from the subject of Janie's kidnapping. Yes, Reeve reveals all over the radio, but that's not what tore Janie up, Reeve betrayed her trust. This was a young adult love story not a third in the Janie series. I've also read the fourth book and I don't like that either.
Rating: Summary: The Voice on the Radio Review: The Voice on the Radio is a terrific book. It is the third book in a series of books, The Face on the Milk Carton, and Whatever Happened to Janie. In all three books Janie has a boyfriend named Reeve. He really makes up the plot of this specific book. In this book Reeve becomes a radio d.j. at his college and finds himself tellin Janie's story of how she was kidnapped, and all of the problems she has been going through since she found her real family. This is a thing that Janie doesnt like to talk about, so when she finds out that Reeve has been doing this, she gets furious with him. This book is a great story that has a great ending. I give it 5 stars!
Rating: Summary: Thrilling Book Review: The Voice on the Radio- Rated: 5 stars It might have seem like years, but for Janie Johnson it hasn't even ened. The Johnsons and the spilngs haven't normalized completely but on the verge of it. But elese where,Reeve is unfolding the story one detail at a time. Yearning for friends, he decieds to tell the story over the radio. Jnaie won't find out, right? But then again what if she does?
Rating: Summary: An Interesting Story about Relationships. Review: I have read the other two Janie books and this one is my favourite because she finally thinks that everything is going to be okay. She is almost at peace with herself and her families. I like the fact that even though this book is mostly about Janie and Reeve you get plenty of other character's points of view. I can't wait to read the next one.
Rating: Summary: Not Really a mystery Story, but one of Love Review: This book is really mostly about Reeve and Janie. And how Reeve sold her on air. I never thought that Reeve would be so soft, yet un trustworthy. Reeve thought of it like he had raped Janie on the Radio. It's not as suspencful as the first and second book, but it is, still a page turner. It just makes you want to know what will happen to Reeve, and what Janie will do to him. :)
Rating: Summary: REEVE SELLS OUT JANIE ON HIS TALK-SHOW (RADIO)! Review: Reeve goes off to college and he signs up for a radio talk-time and on the first day he doesn't have anything to say but then he starts talking about Janie and telling everyone(on the radio)! But Janie comes to visit him and is in the hotel with Brian and Jodie(brother and sister) and they hear Reeve talking about tyhem on the radio so Brian calls the radio station and tells Reeve to come over after he was done with the show. Janie breaks up with Reeve and at the end.....READ THE BOOK
Rating: Summary: Janie is again betrayed, this time, also with herself Review: The "Voice on the Radio" held a strong and exciting plot. Janie, also from "The Face on the Milk Carton", is still a confused and decieved girl. Reeve, her boyfriend, on his college radio station, adds to that betrayal as he boosts his ego with her embarassing and hurtful tale of being kidnapped and raised by her "parents", on his college radio station, not knowing how popular he would be or how demanding his listeners would be wanting more janies. I think Reeve should have thought more about Janie and less about himself. Betrayal is often a word that seems to go hand in hand with heartbreak in a relationship. It always seems as if the characters are always so blind to the human nature of wanting to be known and the lengths we would go to to have it becone real. This proved to be a great example. Caroline B. Cooney has done a great job of describing her characters in this story. She also had a very intriguing plot to work with from her series. I have not yet read her other books with Janie but I do plan to.
Rating: Summary: I did get mad-but... Review: Do you know who wants another Janie book????Me!!!!! I didn't like this book as much because my loving caring fantastic Reeve! Betrayed Janie. I still want another book though. Who Was that on the phone? Do Janie and Reeve get married? I mean come on! Ms. Cooney please put more first book Reeve in this next one. My friend's getting me the movie tomorrow, I hope it's good!
Rating: Summary: incredible Review: I loved this book. Reeve sounded like a nice and caring boyfriend, even if he did betray Janie.
