The theme of the story was to believe in yourself and you can do things that seem impossible. My favorite part of the story was when the children discovered the secret garden. It made me think about my mom because she likes gardens and she is so pretty.
If you like books like this, you should read The Secret Garden. You will love it!

It is a very good book to read because it is exciting and it is a good mystery! I liked the part when Mary uncovered the tiny sprouts that were pushing up in the garden. It made me feel like I was with her.
I think that you should read this book because it is an exciting book and if you like mysteries and secrets then you will love it!

France Hodgson Burnett's imagery is wonderful when he describes the beautiful garden and Misselthwaithe Manor, the uncle's mansion.

She finds out about a secret garden that had been locked for ten years. Colin is a character in The Secret Garden. Colin is interesting. He had hurt one leg and had to be in a wheelchair. One day while in the secret garden he fell out of his wheelchair. He was surprised that he was able to get up and walk.
