Summary: A real touching book!
Review: Read the book within one day. Couldn't put it down. Made me realised once again how important a child's childhood is. How a child turns out really depends on his/her environment. Gave me so much hope and joy just reading about the friendship formed among the three children.

Summary: It was a great book!
Review: This book was about a young girl who's parents died of a disease, and Mary was sent to live with her uncle. Mary made friends with her cousin and opened a new relationship with Colin (cousin) and his father. Read this book if you like classics.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of those really amazing books...
Review: I know many different kinds of people love this book. I think adoptees might relate especially well to the cold, protective walls Mary has built around herself - they keep out pain but also the sun - and in response to a little care, she opens up and grows stronger. A cold, brittle twig turns into green, supple branch.

Summary: My favorite story
Review: I am 25 years old and have read this book over 10 times and I watch the movie about once a month. A few years ago, I received the hard cover book as a Christmas gift and it was my all time favorite present. Even as an adult, I love the story of little Mary and her adventures. This has been my favorite story since I was a little girl. My mother and grandmother used to read it to me as I'd drift off into my own little secret place. This is one that I will read to my little girl and I'm sure she'll love it just like I did.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A fascinating story for all ages.
Review: Once upon a time, a little girl found a book on a library shelf with an interesting title. She took it home and discovered a world where gardens are locked, a boy can talk to animals, and mysteries abound in every corner of Misselthwaite Manor. And friendship is forever. Okay, you guessed it. The little girl was me. The story of Mary quite Contrary, a little girl with no one to love and no one who loved her, Colin the invalid who has spent his entire life inside the manor, and Dickon the simple boy from the moors well deserves the title "classic". There is simply no other story like it. Frances Hodgson Burnett has written a wonderful story about love and friendship between three very different children, and the secret garden that brings them together.
