Rating: Summary: You have to read this book! Review: I just read The Face On The Milk Carton. I thought it was a great book. Sitting in the cafiteria one day during lunch, Jainie decided to take a drink of her friends milk and noticed the face on the milk carton. She looked at the carton for a while and she finally recognized the face, it was her. She was kidnapped when she was only three years old in a shopping mall when she had wondered away from her mother, and a woman offered to buy her an ice cream and never took her back. I liked how the book told how Janie felt when nobody would bilieve her. It really made the book interesting. This book had romance, sadness, and happiness in it. I don't know what I would do if I found out that I had been kidnapped when I was only three and found out twelve years later. If I had been living with a family that I thought was my family for as long as I could remember, and then found out that the loving people I had been living with had been lying to me for practicualy my whole life, I wouldn't know what to do. I think I would want to find out everything I could before I told any body simply because I know some people would think I was crazy, especially if they had met my parents and thought that they were really sweet people that couldn't do such a horrible thing. I think that Janie should of been more considerate toward Reeve and the other people who cared about her. She took out her stress on them when she shouldn't have. But I would recomend this book to any body who likes books that have some emotion to them and that seem like they could happen. I am looking forward to reading the other two books in the series, "What Ever Happined To Janie?" and "The Voice On The Radio".

Rating: Summary: Find out the scary story of a young teenage girl! Review: I am reviewing the book "The Face on the Milk Carton," by Caroline B. Cooney. I think this is a great book. "The Face on the Milk Carton" is a story about Janie Johnson, a young teenager, who is kidnapped as a child, and is living with a different family. Janie, and the family she is living with have no idea she was kidnapped, until one day at school, when she sees her face on a milk carton. She finds out that her real name is Jenny Spring. It turns out that Janie was kidnapped when she was about three years old, one day while she was at the mall with her real mother, sister, and three brothers. She wandered off by herself, and a nice young lady offered to buy her an ice cream. Then, she willingly left the mall with the stranger, who later lied to her own parents, saying Janie was her daughter. The stranger's parents believed her, and Janie lived with them from then on. She has no one that will believe her about what has happened to her, so she keeps to herself. She tries telling her friends, but they don't believe her. The only true person she is able to tell is her next door neighbor, Reeve, who is also her boyfriend. What do you think will happen to Janie, or "Jenny?" Will she stay living her beautiful life as Janie Johnson, or will she return to her real family and become Jenny Spring?
Rating: Summary: "Oh my god Janie, that's your face on the milk carton!" Review: The Face on the Milk Carton is about a girl named Janie. She sees her face on a milk carton at school andshe gets very suspicious. No one will believe her when she tells them that it is her on the milk carton. She doesn't tell her parents that the girl on the milk carton is her. She is afraid of what they are going to do. The only person that believes her when she tells him is her boyfriend, Reeve. Everyone thinks that she is trying to get attention. She does a lot of research about her life when she was little. She finds out that the pictures of her in the family photo album was from when she was five years old. Reeve is very helpful. He drives her places because she doesn't have her birth certificate to get her drivers licenses. He believes her when she tells him things. He doesn't tell the secrets Janie tells him and he listens to her. Find out what happens when you read The Face on the Milk Carton.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME:) Review: JANIE DISCOVERS HER FACE ON THE MILK CARTON. NOW THERES ONLY 1 QUESTION, IS IT HER??? THIS STORY WAS FULL OF SUSPENCE AND MYSTERY. I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN FOR A SECOND. I RECCOMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE THAT LOVE SUSPENCE,LIKE ME!!
Rating: Summary: This book will really grab you! Review: I really enjoyed this book. She really gets the to the emotional turmoil of Janie when she discovers that she was kidnapped and her parents aren't really her parents. She also shows the impact of this dilema on her parents. The only thing that I didn't like was the wooden and stereotyped treatment of Hannah, as a disturbed member of the Hare Krishna "cult". This plot element was too contrived and unrealistic. I wonder if Caroline Cooney has any real experience with Hare Kirshnas or if she got all her information from sensational news articles or professional deprogrammers. (They are the real destroyers of families from MY personal experience!)
