Rating: Summary: I Could Not Put This Book Down Review: It had been quite a while since I had read a book for pleasure. I read this book in two days. I had heard a great deal of compliments on Caroline Cooney's writings. I found them to be true. She kept my interest on every page. The topic of the book opens our eyes to some of the situations involving missing children. I am off to read the sequel....Whatever Happened to Janie.
Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: This is one of my favorite books. It is a page turner. I couldnt put it down once I started reading it. It is about a girl who sees her face on a milk carton that says she was kidnapped. At once she reconizes that face as hers but she cant believe that her kind and loving parents could have kidnapped her. She looks in newspapers and researches to find out the truth. This is a very good book
Rating: Summary: The Face on the Milk Carton Review: I loved this book I read it in less than two days, I could not put it down. You just had to find out what was going to happen to Janie. I decided to read this book for an assignment, but since it was so intriguing I'm allready on the third book and can't wait to finish it.
Rating: Summary: Got Milk? Review: This book was about a girl named Janie. One day at school while she was eating lunch she saw a picture of a little girl on the back of a milk carton that had been missing. She had a strange feeling that the girl was her when she was young. She had no idea how it could be her, but she decided to do some research on it anyway. She got shocking results. Was the little girl actually her? I liked this book because you never knew what was going to happen next, and the characters seemed so real I felt like I knew them. This would be a good book for teens, but other ages too.
Rating: Summary: great, even when it's in a sequal Review: Look, this book was amazing! it got me so rapped up in it that i finished it with speed. the character was torn between the truth and what she wanted. she had to make a decision to live with people she had known all your life or with people she hadn't seen since she was a child. me, i don't mind having to read more than one book to figure out the whole story. i believe it gets people to read more about difficult subjects like this particular one. don't get this book unless you can deal with getting the next one because the first leaves you hanging right in the middle. please enjoy!
Rating: Summary: a great book Review: This book is the most captivating book I've ever read. It feels like you're actually in the story. The emotions are so real and alive. This book is perfect gift and I would give it to any 13 year old and up.
Rating: Summary: A bit disappointing Review: This book starts out great. Janie sees her picture on one of those "lost children" ads that they put on milk cartons. How can this be? Janie thought. Janie lived with her parents. She was never kidnapped! Then, Janie starts to have flashbacks, memories of a different family. How could her wonderful parents have kidnapped her? The book in general is pretty good, but I hate the ending. I don't hate the ending because it is a cliffhanger, I hate it because, 1) it gets a bit depressing near the end for no reason and 2) its too shmaltzy! and 3) You end up wanting to know what happened, and so you read the sequil and are bitterly dissappointed with a horrible book.
Rating: Summary: It wuz ok Review: okokok.....i am a person who thought this book wuz so-so... parts of the book are for mature readers only. Its about a girl named janie and how she found a picture of her when she was little on a milk carton stating she was missing. She acts like a detective and tries to find more info about her childhood. Her nextdoor neighbor reeve tags along on her journey and they also have some love sparks goin on. the book is like a cliffhanger, and thats what i did not like. They dont really tell you what happens to her at the end, so it was like a waste of time because i dont want to read the sequel when there are other fab books to read out there in the world. yes, you may have a different opinion, i am only here to tell you mine. good luck findin a good book to read out there!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST book on kidnapping. Impossible to sum up in 1 word! Review: The first book I ever read by Caroline B. Cooney was Flight #116 is Down. That is how I heard about this book. I immediately ran to the library to check it out. 2 days later I went to check out the second of the trilogy and in a couple of more days, the third. It felt like I was going through everything that happened to the main character in the book. Caroline is my ALL-TIME favorite author and you just HAVE to read her books, if not at least this trilogy.
Rating: Summary: Wounderful Review: This is a fantastis book. It surprised me. I thought I had it figured out. I guessed wrong.I think it is a book for teens. I hope you take my word and read it. I know that you will like it.
