Summary: Great Page Turner!
Review: Jayne is any ordinary girl who misteriously finds a picture on a milk carton during school one day.. scarey enough, the missing girl on the milk carton.. IS HER as a little girl. This story is about Jayne trying to figure out this mistery she has no information about, and her parents aren't any help as they won't let her see her birth certificate or allow her to see any information about herself. The story goes on to tell about how she tracks down and gets to the bottom of the story with the help of some least likely candidates. And the end will definately surprise you!

Summary: Wow!
Review: The Face on the Milk Carton is one of the best books I've read, and I read a lot! The plot starts right away when 15 year old Janie picks up a milk carton and glances at a "missing" ad of a little girl. No big deal... until she recognizes the picture. It is herself, years before. Janie and her boyfriend, Reeve, try to get to the bottom of the complicated story. She can't imagine her kind parents being kidnappers... but who else could it be? What happened? The plot of this book was very creative and exciting, and I couldn't put it down! I recommended it to all of my friends, because it has it all - romance, mystery, drama... And they all loved it! I would recommend this book for everyone ages 12 and up! Also, if you liked this, be sure to read the sequels, Whatever Happened to Janie?, The Voice on the Radio, and What Janie Found.

Summary: mediocre
Review: The Face on the Milk Carton wasn't as good as I hoped. I was hooked onto the theme that Janie wasn't who she thought she was; she was another person entirely. But, instead of making the story more suspenseful by making the characters take more actions, Janie and her family and friends just started to talk out loud about there feelings, coming up with similes and metaphors to express their emotions. First of all, this is unrealistic. An average teenager in Janie's situation wouldn't just sit down and explore their feelings and talk about how they were betrayed, or etc; they would do something before the end of the book. They wouldn't think in similes and say: "I am like a ___ because..." The characters talked way too much, and the book got boring. Second, the plot wasn't very surprsing due to the fact that the author laid out the whole story on the back of the book. They told us the conflict of the book, and that gave away most of the storyline. The Face of the Milk Carton is definitely not Ms. Cooney's greatest work.

Summary: The best book I've ever read
Review: This book is really hard to put down. Usually I hate to read but after I read this when my best friend suggested it I've been reading everyday all summer. Throughout the book you're kept on the edge of your seat and at the end I rode my bike to the library right away to get the sequel "Whatever happened to Janie". I reccomend this book to anyone! It is definitely the best book I've ever read!

Summary: The Face On The Milk Carton
Review: After I read this book, it became one of my favorites without a doubt. Most authors take too long to get to the plot, but Caroline B. Cooney holds your attention from the first page to the last. Even the ending leaves you hanging. I can't wait to read the sequels to this book. The unique and original plot keeps you turning page after page-- I never wanted to put the book down. The only minus was that Cooney skipped from one subject to another too quickly. All of my friends who have read The Face On The Milk Carton have said they've loved it, and now I can say the same.

Review: This book was a very interesting book. It was about a younggirl,Janie, who discovers her face on a milk carton. But, the onlyproblem was that she didn't know if the face was really hers, and didn't know who she was. She sets off on a journey to find her "real" parents. She finally decides to ask her parents.she doesn't know whether or not her parents are telling her the truth. She doesn't know who she is or what to believe. We liked the book because it kept us on the edge of our seats. There was never a dull moment while reading the book. Everything in the book was very straight forward and easy to read. We deffenatly recommend this book to people of all ages...
