Rating: Summary: Ok Book, Needs Some Spice(more like 3 1/2 stars) Review: This book was ok. It was a pretty good plot, but the plot was also unbelivable. I also don't think that the author should have thrown the love story in to the book. It should either be a love story or the mystery, the two mixed makes the book kinda confusing and odd at times.Summery: The Face on the Milk Carton is a book about a girl, Janie Johnson, who looks at a picture of a little girl at the age of three. She disappeared from a shopping mall in New Jersey 12 years before. Janie thinks that that little girl is her. Before Janie could come to any decisions about the girl she must find evidence. After a little snooping around she is almost positive that she was kidnapped 12 years ago. Janie conference her "parents" and they tell her the truth. Janie's so called parents are really her grandparents, but Janie doesn't think that they really kidnapped her! Janie go's to the New Jersey shopping mall the girl on the milk carton disappeared years ago to try and remember anything, but it doesn't help. Then Janie remembered that the girls last name was Spring. She looked the name up in a phone book at a telephone book and was surprised to find the name, the only last name of Spring. Janie drove to the house and there was a school bus in front of it dropping off 2 red headed boys they had the same hair color as Janie's. At that moment Janie was sure that they were her brothers. A few days later Janie wrote a letter to the address she saw on the house the boys went into. She said that she was their missing daughter. The book ends when Janie's receives a phone call from her mother. In conclusion the book has a lot of sugar(love stuff), but needs move spice.(mystery, adventure) If you like mystery, love, adventure stories you'll like this book but I don't like stuff like that, so I, of corse, didn't like this book all that much. Hope this helped.
Rating: Summary: The face on the milk carton Review: I think this is a good book because it tells how it would be like if you were kidnaped and found your face on a milk carton 12 years latter. I would give this 5 stars but I gave it 4 instead because getting kidnaped and not knowing that know body has told you the truth for the last dozen years, that would be sad to find out who your real parents are after living with a kidnaper that you are used to living with.
Rating: Summary: a face on the milk carton Review: A Five Star The Face On The Milk Carton One day a girl name Janie Johnson goes to school like any other day. While she was drinking milk at school, she saw herself on the milk carton that said that she was kidnapped at the age of three. Later on she found some clues that made her think that her parents might have kidnapped her. I recommend this book to anyone that likes to read a really good, interesting mystery book. If you didn't have enough of it, then you can check out the sequel. You can find out what happens to Janie and her mystery life.
Rating: Summary: The best book I have read in two years Review: "Face on the milk carton", is the best book that I have read in two years. Jannie (the main character in the book), is having the worst year of her life. It all began in the lunch room when she decided that she wanted to drink one of the cartons of milk that her friend didn't want; when she was done with the milk she was throwing it away and as she was putting it in the trash can she noticed that there was a picture on the back. The picture was of a girl wearing a polka-dot black dress that she had seen about four nights ago when she was up in the attic. She got a suspicion about it; so about for three weeks she was researching on the face on the milk carton. If you read more of the book you will get into it more and more every chapter. This is the best book I have ever read, why? The book always went into detail and you would never get tired of reading it. I recommend this book for ages 13-16 it is a great book and you will be glad that you read it.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: I love this book and the sequeals (Whatever Happen to Janie,Voice on the Radio, and What Janie Found Out) Its about a girl name Janie Johnson who complains how plain her name is to boring so she sometimes changes it to Jayne Johnstone. One day in the cafeteria she couldn't fight her craving for milk so she took Sarah-Charlotte's milk to find out later the missing 3yr old child in the picture is her. She finds out that her real name is Jennie Spring and she was kidnapped by the Johnsons' daughter Hannah who was a member of a cult. I don't want to tell the ending because this book is really good.In the book there is lots of feelings. This is a mature book such as Reeve and Janie talking about sex and drugs.I would recommend this for 14yr olds and up this book is a must. So in other words GET THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for reading this!
Rating: Summary: The Face on the Milk Carton Review: I think girls from the ages 11 to 15 will enjoy this book the most. Janie goes through the typical teenage problems, her boyfriend and her friends, on the side of finding her face on the milk carton and trying to find the truth about her parents. It was suspenseful, emotional, fun. I highly recommend this book. It is one of the best books I have ever read. When I finished reading it I did not want it to end. I recomend if you do not want to read the sequels and you want to know what happens to Janie, that you watch the movie after you read this book. I promise you you will not regret reading The Face on the Milk Carton.
