Summary: A total MUST READ!!!
Review: This book was excellent!! I read it in one day! I am a 13 year-old girl, and I can totally relate to kata, your parents don't understand you, and you feel like you're all by yourself in the world. This book is fit for all kinds of readers because its totally appropriate. It explores the bitter lives of gang members, while adding an exciting twist! I wish Ms. Ewing came out with a sequel! Listen, you HAVE to read it! It's one of those books that you will touch you, and that you will never forget!

Summary: A related to life book
Review: This book was sad and mournful. It was about a girl trapped in the Gang life, and it had small realtions to me and my friend, Ferny, this is no beach read. It was because her freind got killed in a shoot out, her life started to turn into trash, but she wanted something more...............
Am i saying to much?

Summary: Gangs are all the same
Review: This story is about a hispanic gang and a girl's problems withthe death of her best friend and the turmoil with her mom. She'sinvovled with a gang and they drink and smoke all night, but after her friend gets killed she wants revenge. "Dreamer" is what everybody calls her b/c she's always dreaming and Ana (her best friend) gets killed in a drive-by by a sawed-off shotgun. I liked the book but I thought it was too short and I think Kata should've gone through more tribulations and troubles. But besides that I thought this book was good.

Summary: Party Girl
Review: This was one of the best books I have ever read. Ana and Kata are tight and everything and they share everything about one another. They both love to dance, (just like me). One day Ana tells Kata she's pregnant and it all goes down from there because she got pregnant by a gang rival. Nobody knows this but Kata. Somehow the word gets out and the other gang is after Ana. They are walking home from a dance competion. And they hear guns, look back and it's the other gang after Ana. Kata has to learn how to cope without her "other half". This is a very good book for someone who is trying to cope with death or is in a gang. I used to be in a gang and I got out of it after reading this book. That's how meaningful this book is. If you are looking for a great book to read, this is the one to get. Also, they have made a movie about this book. It's called "Living the Life".
