Review: I absolutely loved this book. I loved how his book portrayed the essence of a best friend. Hallley and Scarlett are best friends and Scarett discovers something that can either make or break her life. Halley has her own problems too, but she was always there for Scarlett. This is a great read for all ages

Summary: Dude...
Review: Wow...thats the one word that describes this. No wonder its going to be a movie. I picked it up at 11 in the morning and sat on my bed till 2am, laughing with the last chapter's tears still wet on my cheeks. the humor in this book is witty and made me actually laugh out loud, which got me a couple strange looks in the store. halley is an amazing character whose strong will and loyalty to her best friend Scarlett keeps her afloat thru rough waters. i would recommend this to anyone who is literate because i guarentee you will close the book satisfied.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: I was a junior in high school when my seventh grade sister brought this book home from the library and suggested I read it. At first, I was reluctant to pick it up, filled with suspicion about it's probable juvenile quality. However, I began reading it early in the afternoon and could not put it down until I read it from cover to cover. It is an excellent book, that appeals to an extraordinarily wide age-range. I reccomended this book to several of my friends and purchased it as a birthday present for my own best friend, who I have since grown to appreciate even more. This is an exceptional tale of true friendships and first loves, and I would suggest this book to anyone searching for a good read.

Summary: A Must Read For Everyone!
Review: This is an amazing book about teen love and friendship. Anyone who liked some of Sarah Dessen's other books should read this book ASAP for more of her great writing. It's also a book about the pressures of having sex as a teen and the realitys of "love" at such a young and naive age. Halley's story telling draws you into the story and makes it a book worth every penny you spend on it. I suggest that everyone reads this book, and if you don't, you're really missing out on a wonderful piece of writing!

Summary: someone like you
Review: I read the book Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen. I enjoyed the book a lot and thought it was great. I think any teenage girl should read the book because it has so many important lessons to learn from it. It talked all about a young girl getting pregnant and the struggles and battles that she went through during her pregnancy. Scarlett was only 16 years old when she becomes pregnant and losses her boyfriend in a motercylce accident. Haley is Scarlett's best friend and tries to be there for her whenever she needs her, but at the same time is dealing with her mother and first real boyfriend. Both the girls go through many changes from young girls to mature women. Anybody reading this book will truly understand the pain she went through by making one mistake. I do not enjoy reading too much but this was one of the best books that I have ever read. I loved reading it and trying to find out what would happen next. It is a book that is very realistic and the things talked about could happen to any young girl like it did to Scarlett. The book was somewhat easy to read and could be read by kids a lot younger then me. There were not to many vocabulary words throughout the book either. Although the book was not as challenging as I thought it would be, I found it very interesting. I would recommend this book to many people. Not only young teenage girls but also mothers with teenage daughters.

Summary: the best
Review: i loved this book! it was one of thoose books that you just cant put down. i love to read, but i'm a very picky reader and this definitly passed my test. honestly, if i saw this book in the store or something i would have never picked it up. but, my aunt bought it for me a present and she kept asking how i liked it, so i forced myself to read it. and i'm happy i did. it's a book that anybody can relate to. the only thing that i didnt like about this book is i feel like they kind of leave you hanging. like, i totally loved macon, halley's boyfriend, even though he screwed up and i do believe that he loved her. so, where did that go. i want her to write a sequel really, really bad. so take my advise and read it i promise you wont be sorry.

Summary: A STORY OF UNFAILING FRIENDSHIP
Review: Voice actress Katharine Powell imbues this story of unfailing friendship with understanding and power.

Two young women who have always been best friends are now in their junior year of high school. Halley is the quiet half of the pair, and has been a model child despite an overbearing mother. Scarlet is the more outgoing of the two, rambunctious and full of fun.

Halley finds herself attracted to a boy of whom her family does not approve. Yet she breaks through the traces and goes with him.

Michael is Scarlet's boyfriend. All seems typical in the lives of several teenagers until Michael is killed in an accident and Scarlet discovers she is pregnant with his child. An abortion is not an option for her.

Such a situation and decision might fracture a less substantial relationship than Halley's and Scarlet's. Halley stands by her friend through it all - that's what friends are for.

Many young people will easily relate to the problems faced in "Someone Like You."

- Gail Cooke
