Rating: Summary: Yet another great book Review: Amelia Atwater-Rhodes has written another amazing book. Midnight Predator tears off from the New Mayhem setting of her other three books and introduces another different, well-developed world of Midnight. Not only was the setting great but the story line was excellent. Turqoise's story was one of dealing with her past, but the author has made it interesting and action-filled which is not something many can do. I would gladly recommend this book to anyone who has read Amelia Atwater-Rhodes's previous books but also to anyone looking for an awesome story.
Rating: Summary: A Good Beginning Review: So much more could have been done with this book. Ms. Rhodes is a very good author but I believe her character development skills leave a lot to be desired. It seems to me as if the end of this book was quite rushed. The reader is left wondering "and then what?" There really isn't any closure. Besides this the main point of the book was to kill ONE vampire and we never even find out if she dies. All that is said is that their plan to kill her might work and it might not. This book could have been so much more.

Rating: Summary: Mixed Feelings Review: With this being the fourth book she has written, Amelia Atwater Rhodes has certainly made a name for herself in the world. I have throughly enjoyed her first three books, as well as the fourth. The story has an excellent plot with incredible detail, but the ending seemed to be lacking. Never the less, I would highly recommend this book to both reluctant and avid readers, as well as readers who have already took pleasure in Rhodes' work.
Rating: Summary: VAMPIRES!!! Review: This book was great!!! It was so good I finished it in like three hours (I'm a slow reader). The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't have the other books of the series yet!
Rating: Summary: Archetypes and Anticlimax Review: Miss Atwater-Rhodes' newest book is a step away from her origional vampire world of New Mayhem, allowing the auther to expand her vampiric world. Her greatest strength is in creating the texture of the setting- the reader will feel thoroughly absorbed in the exotic and fascinating night culture. Turquoise's character was clean-cut and understandable, though I personally found Sarah of 'Shattered Mirror' more likeable. Jaguar and Nathaniel are some of Miss Atwater-Rhodes' better vampires, and while she has yet to trump Aubrey for dark appeal, it was nice to read about some personable vampires. Other characters, however, start to sound like the same archetypes with different hair. As the auther herself had Jaguar point out, the vampire instinct is as simple as a wolf or cat; it is the human desire to hurt that makes them evil. Should there not then be more variety in the types of vampires? They're all beautiful on the surface and either evil or conflicted between evil and some remnant of humanity on the interior. Also, in her latest work Miss Atwater-Rhodes seems to fear a decisive ending would be unrealistic- things don't always end with bang in real life, do they? But in real life vampires and witches don't stalk the earth. The ambiguity Miss Atwater-Rhodes got away with in 'Shattered Mirror' doesn't satisfy, and the reader feels that all Turquoise has done is reached closure with her past, not decided her future. Miss Atwater-Rhodes shows remarkable potential, and there is real talent evident on every page. However, in future she should trust her characters more. They could carry the plot farther than she is willing to.
Rating: Summary: I tip my hat Review: I picked up this book and was intrigued by both the story and the author's youth. I was expected a typical teen book and was delighted to find that it wasn't. This young author has written a book that will sastify adult readers as welll as teens. The story is great, the characterization is impressive and the heroine is a truly complex individual.
Rating: Summary: Just when you thought... Review: Just when you thought Amelia Atwater-Rhodes couldn't get any better, she comes up with an extrordinary story with fascinating characters. Her story this time involves a human hunter hired to kill a vampire. Her new story takes new heights in a completely different setting and new characters. The book is so good you can't put it down, and when you finish, you'll be dying for more.
Rating: Summary: Midnight Predator-her best yet Review: I've always been intrigued by young author Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, who wrote her first book when she was thirteen, but she continues to amaze me with every book she writes. Her newest, "Midnight Predator", is, in my opinion, the best yet. The characters are complex, even the minor ones, and the plot is largely original. Also, I immensely enjoyed reading about the vampires who were mostly good; it seems like an oxymoron, but they make interesting characters. Fantasy lovers will enjoy Amelia Atwater-Rhodes's latest novel, "Midnight Predator.
Rating: Summary: This is wonderful! Review: Once again Amelia Atwater- Rhodes writes an excellent book! Midnight Predator has a wonderful setting, characters, and an intriguing plot. Must read!
