Rating: Summary: It will make you crave all of her books! Review: This a book that has vampires, witches, shapeshifters, and vampire hunters.I would want to be a vampire, not hunt them. Violet is a vampire hunter along with Raven. They learn about a vampire mansion, that is the leader of trading people for vamire slaves has just opened again. Which a long time ago, it burned down, and nobody survived except some vampires. Now it is built and working again. Violet and Raven have to go undercover as slaves to kill the vampires, and take down Midnight. The mansion was named Midnight. Violet gets tangled up with the head vampire and starts to question if she will be able to kill him when the time comes. You should read this book, by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes!!!! This is the best book I have ever read!!!
Rating: Summary: A Great Book For the Perfect Genre! Review: First thing that I want to say well that this is a great book for all of those vampire lovers out there, and let me tell I know there are a lot out there. So this is a great book for anyone who likes/loves this genre of books or for anyone who just wants to sit down, and read for a while.
Rating: Summary: can't everyone just get off her back? Review: Atwater-Rhodes is a great author, and this book is no different. For all of those who say that they're "Tired" of the "same" plotlines, i say get a clue. Are any of *you* writing and being published, much less at such a young age? Are any of *you* actually selling copies of your books (if you've written any)? it seems to me that some people are just peeved and jealous. as for those who prefer to read and ridicule, try writing something productive. you dont have to read her books. and some people like the whole girl falls for guy vamp-storyline (not that that's all she's done). its HER choice what to write about, and if she keeps writing as well as she does then i am not going to ridicule her until her writing goes down the toilet. as a teen writer, i have tons of respect for Ms. Atwater-Rhodes. she's good. get over it.
Rating: Summary: At least she changed a few things... Review: I have to admit, I'm getting a little tired of the tough-girls-who-fall-in-love-with-hot-vampires storyline. At least in this book, the main character *didn't* get turned into a vampire. But come on - Jessica and Aubrey, Sarah and Christopher, Turquoise and Jaguar - I think we deserve a different story. I'm all for teenagers getting published, being a teen writer myself, but it needs to be something special. In The Forests of the Night was special. That was worth publishing, and - I think - worth the hype. Demon In My View? Everyone could tell it was Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' fantasy about her characters coming to life. Shattered Mirror? An attempt to vary the storyline that failed miserably. Midnight Predator? Another attempt to vary the storyline that could have used a lot more editing before it was published. So go ahead, read this book - from the library.
Rating: Summary: Just a recreation of her last two novellas. Review: Sadly, this novella causes me to lack much to say for the fact it resembles Demon In My View and Shattered Mirror. All the characters are just resurrected versions of them. The plot, is once again, something that has been overused since the dawn of the vampire birth's time. The book wasn't all much improved with her lacking of dealing with the main character. The romance made no sense. And once again, a rogue who is all talk and no action. I can't give this a good score since her storylines are reptitive just as much as her characters are.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed... Review: I was expecting a lot from this book, but just like the rest, it is cliched, unoriginal and makes absolutely no sense. Back a year ago I read an LJ Smith book that was exactly like this book, which made me cringe. i had to force myself to reread the plot. This is apparently Amelia's greatest flaw, she seems to copy ideas from her "favorite" authors. I have seen over and over again Amelia state she is a fan of Anne Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton and LJ Smith, all whom she has recycled ideas from. Many things didn't make sense... A whip, a whip cannot be used as a physical weapon, maybe defensive but that's as far as one can go with it. If Amelia thought to do any research she would know this. This is another loner wannabe, apparently just someone who hates the world and herself. She falls in love with Jaguar for reasons I cannot think of. Here's the problem...Amelia's books are filled with stereotypical males with good looks and dense minds of their own. All Ravyn does is whine the entirety of the book. She has no purpose, everything in a book is suppose to have one, Amelia just created her to look pretty and annoying at the same time. Our villain is just a complete idiot as well. The characterization was awful, maybe improved within depth, but that's about all. I couldn't get through this book without being irritable from walking down in Memory Lane. This is probably her worse from just reading it. It defines Amelia as a person, an unoriginal writer who only gets by by copying ideas which have been overused.
Rating: Summary: A Quick and Easy Page Turner Review: I've been a reader of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' since she published her first novel. So, I was happy to finaly pick up Midnight Predator, but I was left disapointed. While I did enjoy her first three novels, the whole vampire, witches, shape-shifter, ect. plots and charcters are becoming rather tiresome and incredible over-used. While I do enjoy the works of such masters as H.P. Lovecraft and Steven King just to name a few, I personally feel that Atwater-Rhodes' should try writting something else, like her fellow authors have done (King has even written a rather enjoible fantasy novel called In the Dragon's Eye--pick it up, it's a great treat for any Steven King fan). Varity is the key to an author's success.
Rating: Summary: Midnight Predator is a great book Review: Midnight Predator Turquoise is the main character. She is a girl who lives on her own and is a vampire hunter. Ravyn is Turquoise's opponent for the title of Crimson. Jaguar is the "Master" owner of Midnight. He was nice throughout the whole book. Jeshickah was the old master of Midnight. She was very mean and violent and not afriad to kill people. Eric is a young boy that Jaguar took in to help him rule the slave trade. He was 14 and very nice. I really liked this book, the author and the way she writes is really good. She makes the book suspenseful and the book just [draws] you in. i would recommened the book to people who like to read about horror and fiction. I would not recommened this to people who like to read about true life things.

Turqoise must keep her and Ravyns cover, as uncooperative as she is, discover how to beat Jeshikah, keep Jaguar off of her trail, get into Crimson and seek revenge on Daryl for killing her father, her brother and her soul.
Rating: Summary: A Well-Written Book Review: I have always been a fan of Atwater-Rhodes since I read her first book, In the Forests of the Night. In my personal opinion, this book was well-written, but, like all books, it has but a few flaws and therefore, unfortunately, I am unable to give it 5 stars. Turquoise Draka was taken into the Midnight Slave Trade when she was Catherine and at the age of 18. Her master, Lord Daryl ,beat and abused her and soon gave up trying to train the girl. Two years later, Turquoise is in the hunters guild, Bruja, and one of the top hunters in Crimson, a house of Bruja. She and another woman, Ravyn, are fighting for the title of the Crimson leader when Ms. Red comes along and proposes the job of killing a powerful vampire. Both women are sent back into the trade to kill Jeshicka, the cruel vampire who ruled the first Midnight. Now, Jeshicka has come back to the new Midnight because she is unhappy with the way things are being run there. Turquoise and Ravyn become slaves of Jaguar, the kinder ruler of Midnight. Jaguar is the one who hires the girls but must keep them uncer control so Jeshicka does not take them and train them herself. Lord Daryl is constantly trying to get Catherine (Turquoise) back from Jaguar by hiding behind Jeshicka, although he threw her away years before. A little romance is added between Jaguar and Turquoise as well. Turquoise leaves Midnight for awhile, but takes Jaguar's personal and favorite slave, Eric, with him to protect her. She also enlists Jaguar's help to train her for her upcoming Crimson battle with Ravyn. Will Turquoise put a knife in Jeshicka, become free of Daryl, and win the Crimson title? All shall be revealed in: MIDNIGHT PREDATOR!
