Rating: Summary: " I hate the Crutchfields!" Review: This story takes place at Long Beach Island in the middle 1990's. Mary E. Pearson's novel, "Scribbler of Dreams", is the tale of a young woman's loyalty to her family or to her new boyfriend, Bram. The main character in this story is Kaitlin Malone. When Kaitlin is enrolled in her new school, she had to change her last name. She was forced to do this because she now goes to a Crutchfield school and her father is a Crutchfield killer. Kaitlin is a very shy, meek girl that has never lied to anyone (except her little sister) before. She's always been a fairly honest person. As her parents said, she is one of the best people that they know, honesty-wise. That would really help her to hide a very large secret. Throughout the story, Kaitlin has actually been lying to her boyfriend, Bram Crutchfield. She has been telling him that her last name is Hampton, not Malone. She was living a lie and she didn't like it one bit. Bram's the son of the man Kaitlins father killed. He's now in prison and charged for manslaughter. She is afraid of what Bram will do when she tells him who she really is. This book shows how hard it is to tell the truth, even when it usually came naturally to you. It's a love story that's almost a complete lie. Everyone who wants to read a love story almost totally gone wrong should read "Scribbler of Dreams."
Rating: Summary: Fantastic love story!! Review: I just finished reading this book and it was simply fabulous! I read this 223 page novel within 3 days, so you can tell that I just couldn't put it down! A modern Romeo and Juliet story, 17-year-old Kaitlin gets caught up in a web of lies, while trying out secrets to her family's past. Read the book to find out what I mean! I would definetly reccommmend this book to anyone who loves a love story, that's not you're average love story, if you know what I mean. I LOVE THIS BOOK! ;) LOL
Rating: Summary: You wouldn't want to miss it... Review: You can always regret what you have done, but you can never take it back. To conceal her identity, Kaitlin lies to her beloved Bram. What started out as a small apple seed, had grown into an apple tree. She had deceived her friends, family, and love ones. We all make mistakes, even when we don't want to. We can't change anything that is in the past, but we can always make a difference in the future. This heart-renching story talks about a moral that which everyone can relate to. GO OUT AND SHARE THIS BOOK WITH THE ONE YOU LOVE...I PROMISE YOU...I WOULDN'T REGRET IT. =)
Rating: Summary: Simply Amazing! Review: This book is my new absolute favorite. I first got it at our book fair a little hesitant about reading a love story, im more of a fiction person, but the moment i started reading this book i could not put it down. i literally read it 9 times in 3 days. the description is vague but you can still picture how everyone looks, acts, sounds, and practically smells. i read this so many times that i can't wait till i am older an go to college. i have the perfect movie planned for this book and i'll go to college to make it. i love the plot even if it is a little obvious whats going to happen. the characters can be related to by everybody one way or another. its the romeo and juliet that is WAY more intresting and easier to understand. i really really recommend this book.

Rating: Summary: scribbler of dreams Review: In this twisted Romeo and Juliet rip off, Kait Malone has to go to school with her long time enemy's the Crutchfields. Generations ago, there was a fight between sisters about a maternity. This splits the sisters apart and sets the families to hate each other generations after. In the present, while going to the Crutchrield school, Kait finds someone worth while-a boy named Bram. The only thing wrong with this boy is he is a Crutchfield. The son of the man her father is in Jail for "killing." Once she finds that her dream man is of enemy blood she desperately tries to find ways to keep her real identity a secret. This means she has to tell lie after lie. Is her web of lies going to help her relationship with the boy she loves yet was born to hate.
Rating: Summary: Compelling Review: Mary Pearson has written another unique and compelling book. Scribbler of Dreams is about a family torn apart generations before, how the hate has been passed down through the years, and how it harms the lives of the Crutchfields and Malones.
Rating: Summary: Very inspiring ... Review: This book describes the transition a teenaged senior working toward positive change and looking at the negative ties of her ancestory. I couldn't put the book down, the author has a way of keeping you deep into the realization and adventure of the story. It is an easy read and has an inspiring moral that we all can grab onto and learn from.
