Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: I bought Mary Pearson's "Scribbler of Dreams" on an impulse, and now I want to read more of her work. Throughout the book, I felt everything Kaitlin was feeling in her relationship with her sister, her mother, Bram, and everyone else. The subject is such an important one, very close to home for so many people, yet not usually addressed properly. Mary Pearson faces the hate and hurt head on, through her characters, and really makes them come to life; you feel as though you know them. I was sitting on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, hardly able to wait for the next page. This book will make you laugh a little and cry a lot, and give you a glimpse into people's souls. It's really a must read for young adults and older, but especially for those who let the past choke them and keep them down.
Rating: Summary: Don't plan to go to bed! Review: As other reviewers have mentioned, I started reading this book thinking I would get through a few chapters and then call it a night. At 2:30 in the morning, I finally finished and could put the book down. Pearson has taken a classic theme and given it a contemporary twist. The characters are NOT the cookie-cutter stereo-types found in most teen romance stories. These are well-developed, believable people facing a situation that has been brewing for more than a hundred years. Pearson's rich writing style and grasp of young adult emotions and reactions make this a very satisfying book. When the inevitable bombshell is dropped, readers will be stunned - but pleased with the outcome.
Rating: Summary: Tears on my Pillow Review: Oh My Gosh, this book was absolutely amazing!!!!!!! I started reading it late one evening, thinking that I would only read one or two chapters(because the first 2 are usually boring). But I could not put this book down!!!! It was absolutely intoxicating!!! I was crying so hard and my chest even started to hurt because the love that they feel for eachother is what I long for!! I finished the book in one sitting(I got no sleep), and the next day at school, I loaned it to a friend who read it in 2 days, and I have 2 other friends who read a little bit and they are dying to borrow it!!!!! I would strongly recommend this book to any hopeless romantic!!!
Rating: Summary: Scribbler of Dreams: An Inspiration like no other Review: This book was literally, the BEST novel I have ever read in my life. This book made me feel emotions that I had never even known I had. It is a modern day Romeo and Julit with a twist and a turn that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire thing. Its a page turner, so reserve some time, sit down with it, and be prepared to be BLOWN AWAY!
Rating: Summary: Slow from the go Review: Have u ever read a book that makes you want to jump to the ending because the other parts are about to make u fall asleep. Ms. pearson is spending to much time on the fact that the 2 families hate each other. it is like droning on and on. Where is the point. Yea i know that they are obviously in love,(bram and kait) but me ( i am even a romantic) can't wait until the end of the book. But all in all the end was pretty good.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: I'm not usually into reading, but this book really got me! I started reading it on a Friday and finished the next day! It made me cry, but it was probably one of the best books I've read in the past year. There was one thing that I wasn't to fond of. It ended way to abruptly for me. I'm not going to go into details about what happens but trust me, once you read the first 2 pages you won't want to put it down!
Rating: Summary: I LOVED THE BOOK!!!!!! Review: I absoloutley loved this book. Its a great romance about a girl named Kate and she really likes this this guy named Bram. This would all be great, but it happens that Bram and Kate's families have hated eachother forever, and Kate's dad murdered Bram's dad. So kate does what any girl would do...She hides her identity, sees Bram anyway, and falls in love with him. This is a great book and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good book.
