Rating: Summary: Fun manga Review: So, I've read alot of manga, and I know whats good. I mean it has to be very good to interest me. Well, I love this manga!! It's so lighthearted, but I know it will get deeper. It's a fun new way to look at demons. Tho, Raneaf is not what youd call an "ordinary" demon. And the relationship between Eclips and Raenef is... well... if your under 13 you just wouldn't understand. All in all, great book. I intend to read the entire series which is about 7 volumes.
Rating: Summary: Awesome relationship, great story Review: The cover art dragged me in, I'll admit it! I'd seen a few side stories from DD, but decided to purchase it and see how TokyoPop did.Demon Diary is basically about a young innocent bishounen (yes, he's male ^_~) named Raenef who's being trained to be a demon lord by a higher class sophisticated and sexy demon named Eclipse. Seeing poor Eclipse struggle with his clueless tutor in the challenge of becoming the 'world's greatest demon lord' proves to be one of the most hilarious manga relationships I've enjoyed in a while. The first volume is admitted slow, but it's a great start to explain the challenges in Raenef's training and a confrontation with a knight at the end. A few of my friends were confused, but the stories 'Crystal Heart' and 'Terra' are stand-alone bonus stories. They're very dark, and Crystal Heart really depressed me. Nevertheless, the artwork of the entire volume was gorgeous. I'll read it over and over again; I definitely can't wait for volume 2. In conclusion, fans of fantasy, comedy, shounen-ai, demon, and magic should have a kick out of Demon Diary. :) "You will reign in terror whether you like it or not!" ~Eclipse
Rating: Summary: Somewhat Lacking... Review: The storyline is uninteresting and the characters are never fully developed... overall, very "blah". Don't buy this if you're into yaoi and hentai (sorry but I don't know the Korean terms for these concepts) - Diary flirts with a bit of homoerotica, but that element remains so vague that the supposed sexual tension between the characters boils down to merely staring at each other. ...
Rating: Summary: need more Review: This book basically comes in three parts. The first is the beginning of the series Demon Diary, in which Raenef, a demon who seems very clueless about being a demon, becomes a demon lord. Eclipse is assigned to be his teacher. Raenef is just adorable, and even Eclipse isn't totally immune to his cuteness. Even as Eclipse tries to teach Raenef how to fight and be ruthless, like a good demon lord, the two begin to care for one another. Although there is no sex, and really no suggestion that the relationship has gotten that far (although it's definitely not inconcievable that it will), if you have a problem with even the suggestion of gayness, I would suggest you not touch this book. It will only upset you. The next part of the book is a short manga story called "Crystal Heart," which although not bad, was a bit confusing in the end. The third part of the book is another short manga story called "Terra," which is also good and less confusing. Although I thought both of the short stories at the end of the book were pretty good, I couldn't help but wish that I could've voted for them not to be there, if that would've allowed more of Raenef and Eclipse's story to be told. I really would rather have read more about them, and their part of the book felt VERY short. That's really the main reason why I'm giving this book a four instead of a five. I can't wait to read more in this series.

Rating: Summary: its disgusting!! Review: this book is just disgusting!! i bought it depending on the reviews everyone wrote about it (which seemed to be ok)and depending on the first few pages displayed. i got the 1st book only and was very disappointed! it was VERY boring, Confusing at first, and worst of all, its about gays!! I mean who would draw such a VERY girlish guy (in apearance AND personality)?! And the relationship that grows between the two is almost sexual! and that also goes for the two extra stories added. they're all about gays too. the WHOLE book is just about a guy teaching another how to be evil. THATS IT! nothing BARELY happens and the so-called funny dumb things the student does are NOT funny. very fake. as for the art (which is also what attracted me at first), doesn't really change throughout the story. you get amazed at first over the way the clothes and hair are drawn but thats all there is in the whole story.the same pictures all the way. even the backgrounds are very few and boring. i don't recommend this book for anyone. i don't know why some of the reviews seem to be so crazy over this book (maybe they haven't read too many manga to know which is best). This book is just too slow, too boing and again, disgusting! a total waist of money.
Rating: Summary: Demon Diary 1 Review: This is actually the first manga I have ever read. But in my opinion it is my favorite now that I have read over about 10.I really like how they make all the guys bishowens.(I dont care if its not spelled right><)Its a really good series and I'm glad that they now have three and the fourth one is coming out.
Rating: Summary: KAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!! (cute for all you non-japenese speakers) Review: This is an amazing work of creativity. The storyline, characters, artwork, you name it is absolutely flawless. However, if there was a 4 & 1/2 stars option, that would be more suited to this book. While it is excellent, there were some annoyances(at least to me). At the beginning of the story the author doesn't really give you much of an introduction before throwing you into the story. Also...maybe I am a cheap, but if I am going to spend money on a book, I would prefer at least the majority of the book be on the same story! While the mini stories were also entertaining, they took up half the book so you couldn't get very far into the plot. However...the pure cutness of Raenef makes up for it alone. Combined with everything else that makes this book what it is, this is the best manga I have ever read and EVERYONE must at least try it.
Rating: Summary: Korean author not Japanese Review: this is indeed a good series. comical. but i have collected the original korean versions be4 the english translations were published. i'd like to clear it all to you people that this is NOT manga. it is MANHWA. MANHWA is getting more popular these days as tokyopop publishes more and more like I.N.V.U. but tokyopop should've considered a different name for their company, making others think that everything they publish is manga -_-** just wanted to clear that up! I, being korean, get slightly offended that people get MANHWA and MANGA mistaken so there ya go!
Rating: Summary: Gotta Have This One Review: This is my favorite korean manga since Island and to tell you the truth I loved it I still read it in fact. The art work is georgeous and the story moves along at a nice pace, the characters are adorable... I can't wait until the next one comes out. There are also other short stories at the end which are good as well. If you haven't picked one up already I suggest you do so.
