Summary: A great Manga!
Review: I loved it. A friend bought it and let me borrow it. I couldn't put it down so I bought myself a copy. It is about a boy named Ranaef who is a Demon lord. He is an embarrasement to his tutor, Eclipse, at times, but their relationship is beginning to develop. Ranaef, being strange, makes this a manga you will want ot read cover to cover. Wont spoil it for ya, just go buy it. You'll love it.

Summary: This book has stolen my heart ...
Review: I picked this up as my free book in a buy 2 get one free TokyoPop sale I came across. I didn't really expect much from it, but I had read everything else in the store. Was I ever surprised. I fell in love with this book, couldn't wait for vol. 2, and loved that as well.

The clueless Demon Lord Raemef is beyond cute, and Eclipes offsets him perfectly. I don't think I have laughed this much in years. I see great things ahead in the series. I cannot recommend it more.

Summary: So Cute and Funny
Review: I saw this book in the book store and wasn't looking to get another book, but it just drew me in with the awsome artwork. I bought and loved it and still love it.
It is actually three stories in one book, the main on is continued in the rest of the series. It starts with Demon Diary about a Demon lord, Raenef, who is to be taught by Eclipse how to be a demon lord. But Raenef is just an adorable, huggable guy who dosen't understand being mean to others. Eclipse who is a very strong demon as his work cut out for him! After a while they become attached to each other more than they realize. Eclipse is called away for a meeting of some sort and leaves Raenef home with a small guard to protect him. While away a knight attacks the castle and ends up fighting Reanef, who one knows only one spell so far, and has been told by Eclipse that if a knight comes to kill the knight. Eclipse arrives home after the fight (I'm not telling what happens and who wins!) But there is a sweet end to the first book! Then there is the Crystal Heart story which is a short, sad story about love and happiness and not realizing what you have before it's gone. I really liked this one, but it is sad. Then last is another short story called Terra. It's about the Earth dieing so a goddess is intered into the earth to help save it, and restore it. But a magician comes and releases her and the earth starts to die again. So another magician comes to re-cage the goddess and finds her where you least expect it. Tis one was again very good.

As a whole this book has great artwork in it and lots of cute scenes. At times it is a little hard to read the fonts they picked but you get use to it. The story plots are good, and have the potential to be a good series. There is also a clip from later in the serieas at the begging that peaks your intrest!

Summary: Demon Diary - Definitely a Favorite
Review: I'll admit it; the only reason I bought this book in the first place was because of the gorgeous artwork that immediately drew me in. Sure, I had skimmed over the summary on the back, but that wasn't the priority for me at the moment. Yet right now, I'm glad my thinking then was that shallow, because I'm very glad of the choice I'd made at that fateful day at the bookstore.

Demon Diary is amazing in just about every aspect one would require a manga to be in order to be great. It's a story about the demon lord Raenef and his mentor, Eclipse. These two make a very interesting couple to say the least; Raenef acts like anything but a demon lord, completely clueless and sometimes downright dense. Eclipse, on the other hand, is Raenef's respectable and rather serious tutor. (Although at times he does have his rather humerous moments.) The combination of the two personalities is nothing short of laugh-out-loud funny. At this point of the story, Demon Diary is nothing more than informing the readers of Eclipse and Raenef's process of teaching/learning, yet at the end of it all, someone unexpected does manage to test Raenef's abilities as a demon lord. As a bonus, there are also two short stories at the end of the manga, titled "Crystal Heart" and "Terra".

The artwork is top-notch and beautiful down to the last page, and obviously very shoujo. The relationship between Eclipse and Raenef (and when I mean relationship, I mean RELATIONSHIP. Shonen-ai warning for those of you averse to it) will probably appeal to mostly female readers, yet the nifty magic scenes and exploding pieces of building may attract a male audience.

In any case, Demon Diary is a wonderful manga that anyone who is interested graphic novels in general should at least take a look at.

Summary: ooh... they have pointy teeth...
Review: I'm not a manga freak. Not yet, anyway. And I don't use 'freak' in a bad way. But I really loved this. It had a beautiful cover (but... I don't think it's the one that's being sold here :S), and... yeah.

It took my reading the blurb halfway through the book to realise that Raenef (spelling...?) was... dum de dum... MALE! Maybe the bishiness is taken a little far here, but once informed, I was happy with it. Eclipse is beautiful... There are a couple of lovely pages with single pics of the characters - ie, Eclipse and Raenef - the artwork is quite nice. Style is... erm... pointy. Not hair, faces. Pretty thin people. Plot was... gripping, but in the cool way. Not like, omg, what happens next? More, heh, poor, beautiful Eclipse... What cruelty is Raenaf gonna inflict on him next? The actual story was good, though. First installation and that.

Story - good. Artwork - Pretty. Length - better than a lot I've read... The two stories at the end were a little short, but that's to be expected with extra, unrelated stuff. They were nice, even so. Erm... Buy it! It's fun! ...and did I mention how pretty Eclipse is?

Summary: Demon diary my view
Review: Okay i know a good book when i see one. This is one.I have to agree that raenef could look more like a guy. But it has a lot of humorous Art work.I think the relaionship between Eclipes and Raenef will be one to keep an eye on because of deep connection they seem to have. The two bounus stories of the crystal heart and Terra were in my view were really touching. The crystal heart was the one that really got to me next to Demon diary. Well i can agree with some when they say it's a little confusing but have to read it over to get the plot. Well in any case i think Eclipes has his work cut out for him in to training Raenaf into a merclous, terrible and wicked Demon Lord. But i thnk over time he will begin to like, except, and want to protect Raenef's kind and gental heart. Raenef is isn't anything but likeable he is a goofy and an aloof type of bishounin. He is very shy and will do anything to make Eclipse his teacher happy. He the main charater and the comic relief in the book.I can't wait to read the second book.

Summary: Poor poor Eclipse.......*Sigh*
Review: Okay people, first basic thing that every reader should know about Demon Diary: it is manhwa, so Japanese format need not apply to it (since it's Korean made, not Jap). I mean, why do so many people think all manga has to be Japanese? News flash: they weren't the only ones who worked with these things. Alas... The second thing: Why does everyone mistake Eclipse and Raenef's relationship to be GAY?! You people drive me nuts!! Is it wrong for a student and teacher to share a bond? (How immature the Humans are.....) Oh, my poor Eclipse... Anyhoo, a note for the more MATURE audience...*Ahem* Demon Diary is an AWESOME series! I have all seven books in my possesion, and even though I wish it were longer, (I cried when I found out it stopped at seven books TT) it's worth every minute and second of your time. It's just too funny......If you like it, you should check out "Under the Glass Moon". It's darker and way more gothic, but tres cool, nonetheless. Happy reading!

Summary: Not to Bad
Review: Okay, I wasn't to sure what was happening in the book at first, but it made sense after I thought about a little. At first I thought Raenef was a girl, just looking at the picture on the back and his facial fetures. Demon Diary is about Reanef who's been chosen to becoming the new demon lord. His tutor, who's really hot, Eclipse tris to teach him, but sometimes it doesn't work out, like when he leaves Reanef alone at the castle, when he has to attened a meeting for seven days. Reanef is a happy non-evil loving little boy (or whatever, but he's told not to smile at all, be silent, and to learn how to become evil. It's pretty self-explanatory if you think abkout it, the other two stories in the book aren't what I would call good or interesting. Crystal Heart is not really what I'd call a good manga if you ask me, but some people may like it. The second titled Terra makes perfect sense, but they really have to fill you in more on what the hell they're talking about. All in all the first story (Demon Diary) was the best out of the three. I recommend this manga to any manga lover out there or any person who's starting to like manga.

Summary: funny that will make your side hurt
Review: Raenef destined to be a demon lord with the help of a 3rd order demon,Eclipse, teaching him how to become mean and fierce, how to talk and all,but the problem is that he is too sweet to become a demon lord, instead of thinking about evil stuff he thiks about good stuff manily this tomato he has on his mind, but one of the funniest things about him is how he says"How dare you admonish ME" it is so cute...but poor eclipse always behind this boy making sure that he doesan't get into trouble, that he doesn't get killed by other demons or mortals, which this knight comes, trying to kill Raenef and ends up with a boyr and thn when she meets eclipse she thinks that he has the hots for her...ya right.I recommend this for people woh are interested in comedy and a little magic....

Summary: Looking for a good Manga?
Review: Since I recently finished reading the Fushigi Yuugi series (A GREAT ROMANTIC MANGA if you happen to be looking for one ^_~ )
I have been searching for other worthy mangas to read. So I happen to stumble across "Demon Diary" and I bought the first book... the only thing i can say is "wtf?". I always read the reviews before buying a book, and the reviews Demon Diary got were OK. I'm here to set you straight. This manga is boring and bland. Mind you I only read the first book, but it did not leave me hungry to buy the next. It was a complete waste of cash. If you are just curious about this book, don't buy it. I will admit that the art work is beautiful, but I had trouble telling if the characters were male or female. (They were male... very girly men if you ask me... soo pretty!!)The characters seemed kinda shallow and the plot itself is dumb and not very captivating. Unless you absolutely have your heart set on this crapper, I suggest you keep searching for something worth your time.
