Review: I had to read this in 7th grade and thought it was a really good book. Some say it is slow, but if you really get into the book and the main character, i think you will find this very interesting.

Summary: Don't waste your time with this one!
Review: Some people have said that this is an interesting and engrossing book, but I found it to be the very opposite! This book was VERY slow-moving; nearly the most sluggish book I've ever read. Details can enhance a book, or they can bring it down in readibility. This book is filled with the latter. Hal Borland has written some FANTASTIC books, but this is certainly NOT one of them. Fairly well-written and mildly interesting, this one is not worth your time or money.

Summary: A truly great book
Review: I honostly can't understand why people would consider the book 'boring' or lacking in character development. This isn't a work of fiction, its a detailed account of a person's trek through life, from loss of innocence, through perceived experiance, and back in a full circle to true enlightment. The book is very deep in meaning and reveals something about us all. I would urge all that didn't like it, to go back and analyze some of the finer points. The book really touched me.

Summary: One Of The Greatest Books
Review: This is a book I hold close to my heart, I love it. I've read it 3 times in the past 5 years. As a 19 year old girl I never thought I would like books such as this, but it's incredible. The ratings this book has recieved certainly doesn't give it justice enough. It's terrific and sad, I just treasure this book as if it were a Ernest Hemingway novel. Try this book it's spectacular.
