Summary: Excellent reading
Review: I first read this book when i was in seventh grade. I am now 32 years old and to this day I can still remember it. True, it is not the best plot and does not have a plausible ending, but it is for kids after all. My daughter just read the same book for school and i have to admit it...i read it again! Far better than the outsiders for a 'kids without adults' book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is my faviorite book.
Review: I first read this book in seventh grade. I'm a sophmore in hhigschool now and it is still one of my all time faviorite books. The idea of all adults dying leaving kids to fend for themselves is incredibly immaginitive. This is a book you can read over and over again and still love it.

Summary: An excellent book!
Review: This is a book about a plague that kills all beings over the age of twelve in the year Y2K. All of the kids have to gaurd themselves against the violent gangs that are forming, and learn how to survive on their own. I think this book was absolutely excellent! It is a gripping story, and I read it in one sitting. It had an amazing and very creative plot, and I loved hearing about the children accomplishing so many things and fending off gangs without grown-ups. One of the best qualities is the book was scary a bit, but it wasn't very violent. This is an absolutely faboulus book, one of the best books I have read in this lifetime. Divine!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best book I've ever read!
Review: Wow! Definitely a wonderful book. A virus sweeps through the earth killing everyone over the age of twelve. Regardless of what others may say, it is an excellent book about survival that really inspires the imagination. Like books about children surviving without adults? Read it. The storyline is NOT absurd. In fact, if you take time to think about HOW the virus could attack in such a way, it's quite obvious. The book is great. Nuff said.

Summary: A must read for anyone 12 and over.
Review: As a sixth grade teacher, I have used this novel to help teach the children in my classes that we are all responsible for our own future. It's amazing how intense the kids get when they discuss all of the issues represented in this book: leadership, survival, sharing, etc. It is definitely a book that students say they remember reading in class when they come back for visits.

Summary: dont even bother to read this!!
Review: terrible book! had no sense of character developement, an unrealistic story line, and many usefull information not included. would have been much better if this book included it, but in my opinion it was too corny and barely earns this whole star

Rating: 5 stars

Summary: If I could give it a lower rating i would
Review: First of all this book was extremely boring. It could not possibly be a book for younger children because it would scare them half to death. And it certainly can not be for older people because it has language for a 7 year old. I can understand the leadership message but if you are 10 years old come on. It was so lame when everything was going perfectly and life was good and they all got along like little angels. This is not a portrayal of what would happen in real life. I find this book a horrible example of life.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: This book was lame and must be inproved in many places.
Review: In the beggining everything was way to easy for Lisa and every body else for that matter. Everybody acted far to old for their age-there's no waya five-year-old could drive a car. I think the characters were very unrealistic and unbelievable. In the middle the book got a bit better but the small spark of goodness was spoiled witha horrible ending. There is no way I could ever believe in a gang leader actually getting talked out of taking over a city. Maybe if he was really nice he would have made an alliance with Lisa but I find no way he could of gotten talked out of it. This all in all was a terrible book.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: The book was good.
Review: I was amazed by how lame it was. I really doubt that a virious is going to kill all people over 12. I read this book for my grade 7 novel study. It was easy to read but never gave me the climax that I need to become interested. I think that if Nelson added some kind of crush or something to do with love for Lisa and Craig maybe I whoud have been more interested. Over all the book deserved a 3 star rating. I hope that Nelson's next book might be more exciting!!!!!!
