Summary: *Refreshing*
Review: It's refreshing to see a Middle East settling which is not often. I highly appreciate this story. A good read.

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: Liked it a lot, Briar is funnier than Sandry. He totally has no idea how to start teaching... Thought it was introspective and brings home some serious facts about gangs. It's an adventure, but if it talked a bit more about the circle students and how they are making out, it would be better. A good fast read overall...

Summary: A must read for any fantasy fan!
Review: My favorite of the Circle Opens Quartet, is Street Magic. It involves a lot of conflicts inside of Briar, between the street rat, Roach, and the mage, Briar Moss. Kind of odd every once in a while, but in an interesting fantasy mystery type way. Great Book!

Summary: THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES
Review: Ok, I have got to be one of Tamora Pierce's biggest fans. Although I'm about the same age Briar is in this book, I also love the Circle of Magic books. The kids are ten, but they act a lot older. That said, this book is also great! The characters are well developed and likeable (one of my best friends wants to go out with Briar). Evvy is cool too, and one of the great thing about this book is- IT HAS CATS!! Magic Steps didn't have any good animals in it, but this one does! It's cool to see how Evvy survived all alone on the streets. The plot is very good too. Overall, if you want to read a superb fantasy book that this one is great!!

Summary: Street Magic Rocks
Review: Street Magic is very good. Briar is a wonderful character and deserves to have student much like him. Evvy -Briar's student- is an ambient rock mage and street rat like Briar was. This has lots of Briar's past, so to speak, concerning gangs. I did not enjoy this as much as Cold Fire or Shatterglass, but it is still wonderful. Everyone should read Tamora's works.

Summary: Another winner
Review: STREET MAGIC, the second book of Pierce's The Circle Opens quartet, is a story which ought to satisfy all of her fans and leave them asking for more. Still far from being one of Tamora Pierce's best books, STREET MAGIC continues her trend of bringing the books in The Circle Opens quartet to a more mature level.

Briar Moss and his teacher Rosethorn have traveled to the city of Chammur, where they are employed to revive the plants dying in the "tired" earth. It is while he is visiting one of the open Bazarrs there that Briar comes across Evvy, a young street-rat who in unknowingly in possession of stone magic. As with Sandry in MAGIC STEPS, Briar suddenly finds himself responsible for Evvy when the only other stone mage in the city flatly refuses to teach Evvy, or at least to do so in an acceptable manner. On the side, Briar must deal with the escalation of a multi-gang war going on throughout the city.

As I said, this is far from being one of the best books by Tamora Pierce, but I found it to be not half-bad. I like how she is bringing more dimensions to the lives of the four Winding Circle Mages, and making her stories more complex, mature, and different.

Summary: Best Book Ever!
Review: Tamora Pierce has brought a whole new meaning to the fantasy world. She has brilliantly put together this book for young children to urge them on in their dreams, showing them that no matter what, they can do anything if they work together. I strongly urge you to read this fascinating book and let Pierce into your heart with her magic.

Summary: New style for Tamora Pierce
Review: Tamora Pierce, a wonderful writer, loses her streak in Street Magic. The book is gruesome and innapropriate at times. Tamora Pierce has also changed her hero in this book to a boy, much to most of her female fans' dissapointment. The plot is hard to follow and it is hard to find out who is the good guy and who is the bad guy in the story. I hope her next book will be better.

Summary: Street Magic
Review: This book about Briar Moss (Plant Mage from Circle of Magic series) and the problems he runs into while he is in Chammur and this time the girls aren't there to help him! He deals w/ gangs, subborn stone mages, cats, and a girl who he finds that has stone magic. One top of it all he has to teach her. I love this book! Briar is one of my favorite characters and this book is all about him. Who wouldn't love it?

Summary: A Great book worth your time
Review: This book continues after Sandry's continuation book (Magic Steps) Tamora did a great job with this book. Briar is settled in chammur and is brought back to the time when he was in the lightnings. Gang wars and a mysterious 10 year old girl create the plot and make this tamora's best book.
