Summary: Tha tightest book ever
Review: This book is really cool. It talks about what happens to Penn Web (a nerdy kid)and Crash Coogan, a football star. They are neighbors that live in the same state. Crash is used to living big so when he gets invited to Penn's house, he thinks its a garage (which is true). Crash uncle comes to visit Crash. He calls him scooter. When Scooter worked too hard, he gets a stroke. He had to recover for a while. This book has everything from laughter to funny. I highly recommend this book to read. It is one of the best books ive read.

Review: Reviewer: an 11 year old reader

Crash, by Jerry Spinelli is a good book. The publisher is by Scholastic Inc, copyright date is 1996.

Crash, in my opinion, is one of the best books by Jerry Spinelli. This book is one of the coolest and funniest book I have ever read. On a scale of one to ten, I would give it a nine and a half. You know that old saying, don't judge a book by the cover. Well, don't judge this book before you read it. I didn't want to read this book because it had a baby with a mustach on the cover, and it didn't look good to me. I ended up having to read it for school, and I'm glad I read it. Now about the book: Everyone knows the seventh grade football player Crash Coogan. (Crash is his nickname that everyone calls him.) He has been mowing down every one in his path since he could first walk. Penn Webb is his nerdy neighbor but his favorite target. Penn is the only person who calls him his real name. John. Penn is not only a nerdy neighbor, but a cheerleader too. After his buddy Mike goes too far on a prank, Crash has to decide whose side he is on. This book will have you devouring humor. Jerry Spinelli writes this book so it is easy for kids to read. I highly recommend this book to kids who like football and a good laugh.

Review: Crash

I think that Crash is a bone crushing story. If you are going to read Crash you might want to be up to a bad beginning. It has a bad taste if you no what i mean. I recommend this book to a really good reader. The reason Crash is called Crash is on one day, on Christmas he got a helmet and it crashed his cousin out the window.

Nichole ...
Crash by Jerry Spinelli . It was one of those books where you just can't put it down & its impossible to not read ahead. This book is part of a collection of books.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a great book.
This book was not only awesome,it taught good lessons along the way.
Such as our lives do to. the thing was it is realistic & not every thing goes the chacters way. Its about a boy who shows that if you put your mind to something any thing is possible. Especially when he turns around to a happy ending.By dumping his jerky friend Mike.
When he realizes that he's gone to far with jokes . he has to find a solution that will save his reputation & not hurt other people by doing so. This book is sure to leave you wan'ting to read more.

Review: The book Crash, by Jerry Spinelli, was a very humorous and great book . It was published by Scholastic in the year 1996 .

Crash was an awesome book, and at first I didn't want to read it. Once I started reading the beginning , I got sucked into it . My reading group and I finished it quickly . I would definitly recommend this book to people who like football and have a great sense of humor. Crash was a fun book to read because it has real life situations that you are most likely going to have to deal with in life. The main characters are John Coogan (Crash) and nerdy ol' Penn Webb . To me it seems like Crash and Penn are friends secretly like they have been since they were six years old.Well as they got into middle school, Crash started to make fun of Penn because he was such a granola person . At the Penn Relays, Crash and Penn are on the same team for the baton race at the Penn Relays. Will Penn or Crash win?
The book Crash is a book that you learn lessons from .

Summary: A nice ending
Review: This book followed in the format that young adult literature should obtain. It was interesting and would be helpful to many young adults. It is geared more towards the male gender, but even as a female, I found it interesting. It was taken form the perspective of a more popular kid who picks on the underdog, but has a change of heart. It has a nice ending without being too sappy.

Summary: Crash
Review: Crash is a book about a boy name John Coogan who is not very nice towards his neighbor, Penn Webb. Jonh Coogan got his nickname "Crash" because of he is very good at football and he always be crashing into the walls with his football helmet that he had got for Christmas. Penn Webb moved to the neighborhood ever since they both were 6 years old. Ever since then, Crash was always being a bully towards Penn and Penn doesn't really do anything about it. At the end of the story, Crash and Penn were both in the same relay and Crash was being a very nice person by letting Penn win the race because Penn's grandfather was there, and if it wasn't for Penn's grandfather then Penn would not know about the relay and his grandfather was counting on him to win the race which he had won when he was Penn's age. Crash had gone through some tough times throughout his life over his own grandfather that is why he let Penn win the race. Finally, Crash and Penn became very good friends.
I would recommend this book to all kids of different ages because this book shows the real relationship between two kids, one is a bully and the other is a nerd but they managed to overcome the tough times and finally becomes friends.

Review: The main character is John Coogan, and he has a lot of energy to play sports. John is in the first grade and people call him Crash, they say that on Christmas he got a football helmet and when his uncle and his family came over he went into a four-point stance then knocked his cousin out the door into a foot of snow. That is why they call him crash. Not everyone calls him crash and his name is Penn Webb. Penn is a Quaker, and he¡¯s a vegetarian. In the fifth grade crash meet a new friend his name is Mike Deluca and they love to play tricks on Penn and Penn wouldn¡¯t notice if the has a kick me sign on his back. Later, crash is in the seventh grade and likes this girl named Jane Forbes. Crash joins the football team. Then Penn and Jane are joining the cheerleading and the next thing Jane is helping Penn clean out his shoes because Mike and crash put mustard in his shoes. Later there was a dance at school, Penn ask Jane for a dance and Penn got turned down. Summary: Crash!
Review: The book "Crash" by Jerry Spinelli is a wonderful book that is great for people with any interests. It is about two people that are neighbors, one is a jock, and one is a nerd. The jock, John Coogan was nicknamed Crash because of his talent on the football feild and a tendancy to plow people over. The nerd, penn Webb, was named after a relay race. Crash bullied Penn ever sincr they were six, but penn continued to be friendly and cheerful. It isn't until a painful tragedy happens that Crash sees Penn in a new light. I would recomend this book to kids because it is a realistic story about a common relationship between two very different people.
