Rating: Summary: Crash! review Review: A Quaker is someone who doesn't believe in violence. Penn Webb, the dorky, geeky, neighborOf John (Crash) Coogan is a Quaker. Crash, the main character and narrator goes through many changes Throughout the story of this book that spans seven years. Penn moves to Pennsylvania where Crash lives In first grade and when Crash first saw him with his buttons that said "Flickertail" or "Peace," he Immediately knew they wouldn't be friends. When they enter sixth grade, Crash's would be best friend Mike Deluca moves to the neighborhood and have fun pulling pranks on Webb because he is considered A "nerd." Fastforward to seventh grade and you'll see Crash and Mike are star football players of their School. This fiction book is high in standards in its genre. I recommend this book to every and anyone Who likes reading books. It was very good in my opinion because books like this usually take me about Two to three days. It took me only one day to finish this page-turner! It was also easy to concentrate On reading this book because it's easy to understand and you won't find any large words that you would Need to scramble for a dictionary. I would like to write a brief summary of the plot so here it is for this great book. After the events Of the three children moving into the neighborhood and going to seventh grade, Mike and John (Crash) are The popular jocks of the school. But, when a new girl comes to school, Crash finds himself in love. The New girl, Jane Forbes, doesn't like Crash because he acts like a jerk at a school dance but she likes Webb Which really gets him mad. As he goes for football tryouts, Webb goes for cheerleading and he's Accepted! During the course of the year and when Mike takes a prank too far (which I will not give away) Crash starts to realize if he wants to be who he is or if he wants to be who he should be. This book is a Really good story and if you know how to read, you should read it!

Jerry Spenelli the author knows how to keep you hanging on. He explores friendship, fitting in and family love. I like this book because it was interesting to read about kids my age. It was funny because of the language the author used. It caught my attention with the action in it. I recommended this book. I think people who like relationship stories and sports stories should read this book. The author makes the book easy to read because something sad or funny is always happening. You shouldn't read this book this book if you like a lot of detail when the author explains something. When Crashes grandfather has a stroke Crash was felling really down. His grandfather had to stay in the hospital during Christmas crash thought Christmas without grandfather was like pizza without pepperoni. It was during these hard times that crash realized who his true friends were. It was his nerdy friend who came with gifts and comforted him.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as Stargirl Review: This was a very interesting book. I liked it alot, butin the end it was kind of confusing. Just like Jerry Spinelli's other books, its very hard to put down.
Rating: Summary: A Great Read for Parents, Too! Review: As a parent of three, a writer and editor, I picked up the book for a quick read and found it absolutely adorable! Any parent can relate to at least one of the children in the story ... I was hysterical thinking of the words and phrases that my 13-year-old uses and how well the book described her. If your youngster is looking for a book, or you want to help with a book report ...do yourself a favor and read it ...
Rating: Summary: Crash by Jerry Spinelli Review: Crash Coogan has hated Penn Webb since he was in the first grade. He gets more and more mad at him until things start to change. He and his best friend Mike Deluca play tricks on him just for fun while Crash maintains a football record for Springfield. Crash has to decide who's side he's on. Mike Deluca....or....Penn Webb?

Crash is the main character. another thing I like is that crash picks on Penn Webb like every day but Pen doesn't know it's him. That's the funny part. The sad part is whrn scooter his grandfather goes to the hospital and nearly dies. And the drama is the whole book. Once you start reading it you can't put it down.

The best and most funnest part of the book is when Crash got his name to be Crash. It started when his cousin Bridget came over for dinner and John Coogan got a new helmet and Bridget came through the door and John hit her and sent flying back out side into the snow again
