Review: Jerry Spinelli writes another one. (A good one.) I had read many sports books in the past but this one is on the top, #1. It has a lot of things going on to keep you interested and it was written so well. If you decide to buy this book, I know you will like it!

Summary: this is the book to turn on non-readers!!
Review: I am a storyreader who visits schools all over the East coast. I have used "Crash" for my 4th 5th and 6th grade presentations. In my seven years of reading aloud to kids, this one is the book I get the most letters about. It really turns non-readers on to reading. I received a letter from a mom in Buffalo thanking me for getting her 5th grader to read. She said after hearing me read it, her son came home and begged her to buy it. He read it from cover to cover! The first book he had aver finished..Thank you Jerry Spinelli for Crash,Wringer, the Library Card and even your latest Knots in my yo-yo string.

Summary: Insensitive "jock" learns the true meaning of friendship
Review: Crash Coogan is befriended by the new school "dweeb" and does everything he can to discourage the friendship that Penn Web so badly wants. Crash insults and humiliates Penn, but Penn keeps coming back. Only when Crash's adored grandfather, Scooter" becomes ill, does Crash find out who his real friends are, and the true meaning of friendship. I am a librarian in an elementary school in New York. I read this book to my 5th grades last year. I have had to buy mulitple copies of the book. One year later I still cannot keep it on the shelf. Jerry Spinelli's works have changed once reluctant readers into avid fans who cannot get enough of his books!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ!
Review: I thought it was very funny, I read it when I was in 2nd grade. Now I'm in 3rd grade but I'm still going to read it over and over again.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Couldn't put it down.
Review: The book was so interesting I couldn't put it down beginning from the first page, and laughing all the way to the end. The story is about a jock named Crash who made fun of his geeky friend Penn Webb. This continued until a turning point, Crash's father (Scooter) suffers a stroke, and Penn Webb gives Scooter a gift. These events lead to changes in Crash's heart to see life beyond the surface of materialism, and athletisism. At the end, Crash realizes the importance of family and friends.

This was a reading assignment from my sixth grade teacher at Samatha Smith Elementry, Redmond, WA.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I loved Jerry Spinelli's fast paced book.
Review: It was full of unexpected things that happen in everyday life. The book starts out when the story's main charachter Crash meets a little kid, Penn Webb. Crash realizes since Penn is so different, he makes the perfect victim for his tortures. As the story progresses on, Crash finds out that Penn has something he may never have, a heart. And when his loving Grandfather has a stroke and his buddy goes to far with his tricks on Webb, Crash must make a life changing decision. The book made me think about sudden things that could change your life forever.
