Summary: a decent read
Review: This is a continuation of the Circle of Magic series. in this book Sandry finds a kid that has a dance-magic. and she begins to teach him. a side plot is the murders that are going on by some un-magic mages. its a good book. and sandry's character, and that of her uncle, are really defined.

Summary: Magic Steps
Review: If your favorite series of Tamora Pierce was The Circle of Magic, then you would definitly love this! It's got more on the life of my personally favorite characters, but it doesn't really mention much about the four of them being together with their teachers at Discipline in Winding Circle. It's a pretty good book, but if you want to read it, I suggest you start with The Circle of Magic series first, or else you might not quite understand it wholly. And also, start with Sandry's Book, it's the very very beginning to this great adventure.

Summary: A bit Dissapointing...
Review: I was a bit dissapointed after reading Magic Steps.the story was great, but I missed having Tris,Briar, and Daja there.Anyway,Sandry is 14 and staying in Summersea with her Uncle,Duke Vedris. She soon discovers a boy who can dance magic!Since Lark knows of no one with this type of magic,Sandry must teach him the basics, while trying to discover the mystery behind some murders in Summersea.Parts can be a bit confusing. And,it can be funny sometimes, because Pasco and Sandry are so different. All in all Tamora Pierce has produced another wonderful story!

Summary: Tamora Pierce Creates Another Masterpiece.
Review: Tamora Pierce begins her new series with a great book for her avid readers. This book continues the story of another of her series, The Circle of Magic, wich tells the story of four youngsters, who have amazing and unprecidented magical gifts. This story centers on The Lady Sandrilene Fa Toren, the grand niece of the Duke Vedris, and her discovery of another oddly talented youngster, Pasco. Pasco's magic manifests when he dances and, because Sandry discovered him, it's her job to train him and help him control his magic.

Also in the story, are the inexplicable and brutal murders of a very wealthy, although not well liked, family of myrrh traders. Together, Sandry and Pasco must work to stop and catch the assasins before the entire family is destroyed.

The plot is well maintained throughout the story and the only chance you get to put the book down is after you've finished reading it. Like all of her books, it flows well and is a pleasure to read. Enjoy!

Summary: Magic Steps
Review: I give this book five stars and here is why. In the book Magic Steps, a boy named Pasco finds theat he has the power to dance magic. The lady of the land finds out and being a mage herself, wants to help Pasco control his power. So she does. The rest of the book goes into a murder story. On how Pasco, the lady of the land, and the mage council catch the murderers. Also how Pasco's first experience with a mage goes. I think that Tamhora Pierce did a great job on writing the book Magic Steps. I encourage readers throughout America to read this book.

Summary: maga cool
Review: I was so hook on this book I couldn't put it down. The contents of the book go like the following:Sandry is a young mage with extrodinary powers. She finds a boy who is doing magic in the form of a dance. She then finds out that since theirs no one near Summersea that has the same poweres as the boy she will have to teach this boy the rudiments of magic. Then a big task is placed on her shoulders she must stop the murders that are going around. These murders are the act of a mage and assitents.Only Sandry and the boy Pasco can stop the evil mage and his assitince.

Summary: Tamora Pierce has outdone herself this time!!
Review: Wow!! That one word says everything! This book, though a little more gruesome than the Circle of Magic series, has an incredibly original plot! The shortest summary I could give is this; a group of murderers is destroying a family of rich merchants using "unmagic". You may be thinking, "Unmagic? What on earth is she talking about?" Well, you see, unmagic, is something like the absence of all magic. When you're coated with unmagic, you're invisible, and can pass through magic spells like they weren't there, which is a VERY important part of the book! The main characters, Sandry, a mage who uses magic like thread, and Pasco, a mage who dances magic, have just become teacher and student. Pasco is not very enthusiastic about the idea, and he definitely doesn't like his new dance teacher, a friend of Sandry's teacher. It soon becomes clear that Sandry and Pasco are the only ones who can stop this trio of murderers! Do you want to know what happens next? Read the book! By the way, thanks for reading my review!

Summary: Beware, Queasy People!
Review: The book was good, but I really don't feel like it was great in a Tamora Piercy way. I liked it, but that's because I also like the kind of book this is: Drugs and murder and strange deaths. The dancing magic was a good idea, however, I feel that it was not carried out as well as it could have been. It also introduces too many concepts in effort to explain itself. In most of her books she will tell you something that you might forget but when it is the solution to the problem you say "Oh, yeah!" However, in this book, that doesn't happen. It's just like "Here's what it must be," even if you have no idea what that means. And then you're like "Okay..." It's also very confusing. Who kills who again? Oh, they're the bad guy? Where are they? I don't reccomend it to people who get queasy or to the general population for that matter. You probably should read it though, if only to be informed of Sandry's doings when "Street Mages" comes around.

Summary: BEST BOOK EVER!!
Review: This book is awsome! Through out the book many exciting things happen! This book is about a young boy who has magical power through dancing and will not except it because his family and all the generation before him have alway been provost guards, (police like people) and he thinks his family will never truly except him as a magic DANCER. She must teach him that he really does have magic through dancing and how he must work it! At the same time, a family of mercahnts all related are being killed 1 at a time by someone with very mysterious and powerful magic. The duke (Sandry's Uncle} is just recovering from a recent heart-attack, and Sandry is trying to cope with this all at the same time! The ending is really good so I won't ruin it for you. But I will tell you that Sandry and the young magical dancer, Pacso, are the only ones who can stop these magical killers! I highly suggest that you read this book because you will love it!!

Summary: Simply Shocked!
Review: I am a big Peirce fan, but when I read this book I was shocked!!! It was disgusting and violent. Murderers who seek revenge over a death in their family leave (literally) heads hanging from the ceilings. Sandry is suppose to help to track these murderers down and get rid of them. It was creepy how the murderers just appeared out of thin air to murder these peaple. One of the worst parts was that the murderers used a young boy who has very unusal magic, to move around. I won't go into more detail because it is to horrible. If you like Redwall you will enjoy this book(no offence). Not all of the book is really bad. Sandry takes on a young boy who does magic through danceing,(which is especially cool becouse I dance). I am waiting for the next book(Street Magic)to see if it is any better. This book just didn't feel like Tamora Peirce.
