Rating: Summary: Really cool! Review: I really like Briar, Sandry, Tris, and Daja. I feel so sorry for Tris that she was treated so badly before that after a year of being close, close friends with Sandry she still thinks that Sandry might shrug off her contact when they hold hands, etc. I hope that in the sequel series to this (I think that's the best word for it) she develops her trust even more. I think it was cool how they saved Rosethorn. In all the books, they do something that wouldn't be possible if their magic wasn't linked together. In the first book, they would've all died if Sandry hadn't been able to weave their magic together. In the second one, they had to work together again, in the third one it even says 'Daja would've never been able to do it with just her magic alone' and in the fourth book, they needed four people so Briar could go searching for Rosethorn in death with two people between life and death and the last person anchoring them to life. It was really cool!
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: Read this a while ago, best book I've read in a long time. Can't really remember everything that happened so I'll just say that I reeeeeally enjoyed it, fav. in the series. Easy vocab. but still a great book and if you enjoyed the other books, go and get this one!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: This is a really good book and definitely worthy for atleast a five star rating. Briar fans, (he's got a lot out there) will especially love it. And I am one of those sickening people that are dying to see Sandry and Briar have some romantic future involvement in The Circle Opens, so the entire time I was reading the book I was looking for the subtle hints (or maybe I was just so desperate to for them to get together that I was imagining them. Heh heh, well buy this book and have fun.
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: This is yet another wonderful book in yet another wonderful quartet. Circle of Magic is a very well-written series--especially the way Ms. Pierce ties it all together (in each book, the group discovers more about their abilities, esp. together) and yet makes each its own story (Each of the young mages must face the sore spot in their past and learn to deal with it and accept their new life in their own way). The whole quartet is like the cast--separate, individual, yet closely bound together, with all the best traits of each balancing out the faults of the others. Briar's Book is an especially good ending to the entire group's final acceptance of family and how close they have become.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST !! Review: I thought it was the best book ever because it was the most exciting one of all with Rosethorn almost dieing and they save her and make here change her mind just really makes you so relieved that they were able to do that.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: I loved this book! It was great. I definately think it is the best in the series. If you liked the first three, you HAVE to read this one!
Rating: Summary: Very well written, loved it! Review: Wow! This book was great. It was well written (Tamora's always are), and I liked the plot. It could have had less about medical stuff, I find that boring, but it was good nevertheless. I have read all of Pierce's books, and this is the third best in my opinion. First is Sandry's Book, second is the first Alanna book. Check this out. I love Briar!
Rating: Summary: Excellent book for young adults Review: This book wonderfully ended this Tamora Pierce series. I have read all of this authors books, and each of them have at least one strength - this one has more than just one. This series was geared toward a younger audience than Tamora Pierce's other books (no one has romantic relationships, and there is no violence or death of characters, for the most part), but while this series was slower moving than her other novels, it still keeps your attention. Great book!
Rating: Summary: Hmm... Review: I find it hilarious that this book was given five stars, so many people over rate things. Only diehard grade school Pierce fans will fall for this cheap piece of a kiddie read. If at all possible, AVOID this book. Get CROWN DUEL or SCENT OF MAGIC instead.
Rating: Summary: Best One in a Long Time!! Review: As most here in the world of Pierce reviews, I am a devoted fan and have read all of her books. I think Briar's Book is the best Pierce has written since the Alanna days-- seriously!! I was very impressed with the way she described medicine like she really knew what she was talking about (and perhaps she did) but, Tammy, your research went a long way! Briar is my favorite of the mage quartet, as he has a lot of wit. I really liked how, throughout the books, you saw his admiration for Rosethorn blossom and grow; it's very touching, without all that romance usually craved for. This isn't a book for ye swashbuckling finatics, but if you like good character development and impressive medical and craft detail, this series-- esspecially this WONDERFUL book-- will leave you satisfied (well, satisfied with the exception that your anxious for more Circle books)
