Together they find frienship and love for one another. The boy's family learns to accept the badger for she is the one who kept their little boy safe from the perils of life on the prairie. This story deeply touch my heart and I feel it would make a spectacular Disney movie!

He was wonderful. I am so glad that I knew from the start that this was a true story or I would never have become so involved, instead I would have put the book down because the plot seemed so unbelievable. The ending of the book resulted in my son of 9 and I crying together for the first time over a story's end. He had never been touched by a character this deeply before.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Ben and the badger Review: Benjamin MacDonald is a boy that can talk to animals. One day when he and a female badger meet for the first time, they check each other out, by staring at each other. Ben goes home and says that he saw a badger. His father goes crazy and tells Ben to stay away from those creatures. Ben is very small for his age and dosen't fit in. He becomes scared and runs into the prairie, which is called Hawk's Hill. Ben gets lost in the prairie and ends up far away from home. A storm is coming, so Ben looks for shelter and goes down the badger hole. The badger and Ben's relationship builds from there. During this time, Ben's family and friends are searching for him. The odd story line is what makes it a good book. Allen. W. Eckter, the auther deserves an award for this book. The book is easy to read for all ages. There is no profanity; it is pretty easy to understand. It is based on a true story but not everything is true. These are the reasons why I liked the book. In comparing this book to Blue Jacket, another book by the same author. I would say I liked Incident at Hawk Hill better. It related to me more. Blue Jacket is also a good book, dealing with adventure. However, I thought that this book was easier to read.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Boy and Badgers Relationship Review: Benjamin MacDonald is a boy who loves animals and who lives on a prairie with his parents with no one around. His parents think he is not normal for his age. They think this, because one day Ben was out on the prarie and he meets a female badger. They think humans should play with humans, and not animals. He gets back, and his dad tells him to stay away from badgers. Ben gets scared and runs away onto the prairie of Hawk's Hill. He gets scared, because he thinks his father might kill the mother badger. People should read this book, because it is about a boy and a female badger who grow a relationship together. This relationship is very strong. It is so strong that the badger lets Ben stay in her den with her. I recommend this book to all readers, because it is very true about what can happen if you get lost. If you want to know if Ben ever gets found, read the book.

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: This Book really stunk, I didn't like it at all!!! Review: I did not like this book because who in the right mind would crawl into a hole and live with a badger for a long time when the boy could have stayed at home and apoligized and been warm and cozy in his bed!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: America's Demosthenes Review: I find Incedent on Hawks's Hill rather pointless. Honestely a kid with an unhealthy affinity for animals gets lost. I got lost in a shopping mall did anyone write a novel on me? NO!! I was cared for by strangers for awhile when that incedent happened. Did anyone consider writeing novel about me NO!! About the only aera the book is well writen in is it's choice of words Eckert shows some eloquence, but not much.
