Rating: Summary: So Amazing I think I'm speechless Review: Ok, I have been waiting for 6 months to read this book and now i'm [mad] that I read it in one night. I wish I could go back and savor it for so much longer. It was amazing. Before this book my favorite Daughter was Serena but not because of awesome writing or what have you, but because I liked the struggle she had within and with Stanton...and let's not forget that she definately has the coolest power (being able to read minds and whatnot). My favorite book however has been the one about Stanton, so it makes sense that this book would become my favorite as it involves Stanton and Serena again. yay. In the book a run-in with an old lady brings about lapses of memory, un-Serena like actions and blackouts. She must find and confront the old women before whatever is happening to her takes over completely...oh and let's not forget the love interest, Stanton's BACK!!! WOO HOO...yes I am actually cheering for evil...but he's not, or is he? You can make that call. Anyway, as the story comes to an end Stanton asks Serena to do something...read what it is and if she does it in Possession by Lynne Ewing
Rating: Summary: The 8th book in the Daughters of the Moon series Review: Possession begins with the myth of a young woman who bethrothed herself to the Atrox, Ursula, whose famous beauty was so reknowned all who looked at her felt blessed. But her unlucky fate was already decided at birth, when she was born clutching a jewel in her fist. Her peasant father rushed to the castle to get a priest, and when they returned, the jewel had vanished. Such was her fate; "all good would slip through her fingers". In the present day, Serena Killingsworth, a Daughter of the Moon, is struggling with her life. Stanton, the guy she once loved (and still loves, though she won't admit it to herself) has betrayed her by becoming the Prince of Night. Her heartache is so heavy it is like a constant stone crushing her chest. She hasn't been sleeping or eating well... She dreams about Stanton visiting her at night, and though her line of clocks on her dresser is unmoved, these night visits still unnerve her. In the beginning, she is racing through the post-school crowd, she escapes the guy who is crushed on her, Mr. Wrong (Jerome) by cutting through an alleyway. There, she accidentally bumps (more like smashes) into an elderly woman. Serena is knocked to the ground. The woman uncaps a bottle and forces a strange brew into Serena's mouth. Serena blacks out and when she wakes up, it's nighttime. Soon she starts having nightmares, strange thoughts, and starts acting like a completely different person some of the time. It's frightening her, and her friends. What's going on with Serena and who was that woman!?
Rating: Summary: BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!! Review: Possession is the best book in the world! Lynne Ewing know's how to write a great book. She's just great!
Rating: Summary: SURPRISING TURNS! Review: Possession-book-rating:5 star Comments: The 8th and newest book to the exciting and magical series of Daughters of the Moon was probably one of my favorite. It had a very interesting plot and continued the love story between Serena and Stanton. Personally, Serena is my favorite goddess of them all. Anyhow, the story had many twists and turns as you read the captivating book. So many unexpected things around the corner. One of Lynne Ewing's best work!Story: Serena is suddenly not acting the same all the time. She's become somewhat different. She's had strange dreams and eerie black outs after she helps an old woman. Serena finds herself chasing after her friends' boyfriends and going out of control. At first she thinks it's just stress, but as her symptoms get worse, Serena begins to believe there's a lot more to it. As you read along in the book, Serena discovers Stanton's hidden feelings and thoughts. Her choice when she turns 17 turns clear in the end and a very interesting preview of the following book makes you crave for more even after a very satisfying story.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Book Review: Serena has always been my favorite Goddess, with Catty not far behind. The book is amazing. I loved the twists and turns in it and how at some points you could hardly blink. Ewing is very talented and her books seem to hold a grip on reality, yet contain fantasy. I've now read all 8 that are out so far, and can hardly wait for #9, "The Choice". My friend got me to read them, I got my friend to, she got hers, etc. I love the series!
Rating: Summary: Great Book From a Great Series! Review: Serena is one of my favorites of all the Daughters. In this book she starts getting memory lapses and ending up in places she doesn't even remember going to after she helps a strange old lady. She does things that she normally wouldn't, messing with her friends' guys and using weird words. She discovers that the lady is trying to take over her. She's already growing inside of her and pretty soon will have total control over it. That's all I'm gonna say, partly because I think you should read the book and see for yourself what happens and partly because I have to really get going.
Rating: Summary: MAKE IT STOP! Review: The Stanton/Serena angst I can't take it anymore! This book's plot idea in general-good. The way it was carries out-*cringe*. Romantic angst is fine is small doses, but two whole books about it in the same series about the same couple is WAY too much. The plot seemed to serve one purpose make Serena even more confused about her feeling about Stanton and bring her closer to her dark side. There was no other purpose. the plot wasn't even what held the book together. It was the romantic angst between Stanton and Serena. I like Stanton, but if I have to read another book like this I may just give up and start banging my head against the wall and give up. Basically Serena and Stanton's love life is like a bad version of Romeo and Juliet-if you want feuds watch "West Side Story" it's about three thousand times better. Another problem was everything was so freakin' obvious when it came to the plot-ever heard of subtly. All the other Daughters' relationships are second to the plot and that's how it's suppose to be unless you're writing a romance novel then it IS the plot. But this is a grievance. We already had a book dealing with romantic angst between the two: It was "The Sacrifice" remember and it was better! Much better! But reading this book was a bit like plucking out my arm hairs one by one. I actually paid attention in math class (not that it helped) instead of reading this book which was a first. Here is my thoughts on the series so far: the second rotation through the DoTM was no where near as good as the first. I hope if we go through a third that it's better.
Rating: Summary: his series is Way Cool Review: THis book is one of the most enrapturing books in the series. Serena is having blackout periods, usually starting with a headache. This all started when an old woman halped her by giving Serena bitter water. Then, Serena notices the woman following her in a black lexus, when Serena tries to read her mind, all she can pick up are her own thoughts and dreams. What had happened to Serena, and who was this woman?
Rating: Summary: I COMPLETELY LOVED IT! Review: This book was amazing. It's definately my favorite. Serena is my favorite character in the series, probably because I feel I can identify with her. I thought the whole idea of this book was really amazing. I apploud you Ms. Ewing!
Rating: Summary: awesome ! Review: This book was good. We find out in the end that Serena has a 3rd choice, unlike the other Daughters. You have to read the book becasue I am not telling you what it is. This book is also revloving around Serena and Stanton again. Hopefully thought her next one won't be.
