Summary: A fiction wound into another...
Review: I really LOVED this book. The first time I read it, I enjoyed it but not as much as I did the second. The amazing thing is, is that the entire story is based on the myth of Philoctetes being trapped on the island of Lemnos. I loved how the author was basically able to slip her own character in there to make his stay on the island less lonely and more interesting.

The book is really wonderful and I really really enjoyed it.

Summary: A Good Book, With an Even Better Ending!
Review: The beginning starts out a little slow. I almost quit reading it after the first 3 chapters but I kept on going (mostly because i love mermaids!). Im really glad that i did. It turned out to be an excelent book once you got into it. I had studied Greek Gods and Greek Mythology the year before I read this so I recognized a lot of the same sort of stuff. It was a good book with an even better ending.

Summary: sirena
Review: sirena is a good book for teens not for little kids. It has lots of exciting parts, and if you like Greek mythology, this book is good for you. I myself liked the mystery in it, and some of it is where you don't understnd parts of it. For example, this happened when I read about the main character in the book. You want to answer the questions they ask. You will really get into it, and you won't want to put it down.

Review: I think this book was really great. The one thing I loved about this book was how she lowered the sailors into the water with her voice. I think this is one of my favorite book of all time.

Summary: ~~~!!!!!WOW!!!!!~~~
Review: This book was incredible from the beginning to the last few pages. But this was the saddest book I've ever read in my life!!!
Wonderful, but sad. It made me cry, which I don't normally do when reading books. Read it. You will like it.

Summary: This will sound stupid...
Review: To me, this book wasn't depressing enough. After reading other Napoli books like Zel and Song of Magdalene, I curled up with this book expecting a good cry, but the ending was just too... satisfactory.

Summary: quite good and worth the read
Review: if you like romantic, bittersweet fantasies... etc
I am always looking for books which seem fairy tales for adults, this is certainly one of them, with that strange ability to capture and fascinate and live somewhere below your subconsious. It must have been over 3 years ago that I read this novel but it made enough of an impression (positive) that I would recommend it as an enjoyable read.

Summary: My favorite Donna Jo Napoli wrote!
Review: Great book. It's a mixture of the Little Mermaid and Greek Myths.

Summary: Sirena
Review: Sirena has to be one of my favorite books. I love greek myths and this book has tons mixed with the actual story. I cryed though it tends to get kinda sad. but i encourage reading this book its the best.
