Rating: Summary: I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: i really thought that it was very good and and i thought it was so sad and was i nice book. i think everyone should read it.
Rating: Summary: This book was a great read. Review: This book was so warm and heartfelt. I enjoyed going through Dicey's problems and solving them alongside her. This book made me feel like I was right there with the characters, and I loved the writing style of Cynthia Voight. I am interested in other books by her, and reccomend this book to people of all ages looking for a great sotryline.
Rating: Summary: You would like this book if......... Review: If you don't like hearing about other peoples lives or thier thoughts, then this isn't the book for you. The book talkes about a young girl who had a hard time growing up and tells her adventures of having to live with her grandmother she dosen't know very well with 3 other siblings and a very tight budget. I suggest that young adults, as in 7th+ grade read this.
Rating: Summary: ABOUT A GIRL AND HER LIFE Review: I THOUGHT THIS BOOK WAS A WONDERFULL IDEA.CYNTHIA VOIGHT HAS A WONDERULL MIND ABOUT IMAGINATION AND HOW TO PUT THINGS IN THE RIGHT ORDER.
Rating: Summary: This is a an extremely well written book. Review: I first heard of this book in school when we did a extensive report on it. This is probable the best book I have ever read. And Homecoming the book that started this saga is eaqualy well written. Of corse this book Isn't for everyone, But if you like heartfelt books, and are willing to patiently read through it, this Tillerman Saga is for you.
Rating: Summary: So,So, but a little Boring!! Review: I thought that the book was okay. It could have been a lot better book. It kinda lost my interest because it was so interested in Dicey's troubles. WHO REALLY CARES???
Rating: Summary: So-So, but not the best! Review: I've have read other books by this author that are a whole lot better. In the begginning, I thought that I would die before it got a plot. It is better, but with a little ajustments, it could be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Boring and Hard to understand Review: My class is reading this book and the assignment is to do a report. But, the book was so boring I couldn't understand it and it kept saying the same thing over and over. I can't keep reading that so, I lost interest. In the first 30 pages all it talks about is how she is doing while she's living with her grandmoter. I give it 1- star for not having a real plot and no real action that will make you want to know what happens next.
Rating: Summary: The author goes on and on about stupid little things Review: I really hated this book because it was so boring and I really didn't like Dicey. I thought that the author of this book went on and on about stupid little things that made the book really boring. If there was a sequel to Diceys song I think that Maybeth will get really good at the piano, and Diceys boat will look nice. If there is a sequel I would not like to read it because it will probably be as boring as Diceys song. I hope I never have to read any other books by Cynthia Voigt.
Rating: Summary: Boring, Boring, Boring.... Review: I've read all the "glowing" reviews of this book, and don't understand it. I read this for a school project and couldn't get through it!! I finally finished it two days before the report was due and wrote a boring description. I read Homecoming too. The good thing about that was it had a big problem. In Dicey's Song there was no big problem and thousand of meaningless, easily solved tiny problems. The plot was all mixed up and the characters also messed up. In Homecoming Sammy was this tough little boy who fought with kids twice his size and in Dicey's Song he turns into this perfect, obediant, well-behaved sissy. I don't know why the author stuck James in the story, because obviously he never has and never will have a single problem and life will go on perfectly especially with his "brilliant" mind. I know so far I'm the only person that has given this book one star, but if Aamazon offered a choice of no stars, I'd take it! I don't reccomend this book to anyone, unless you like books with no plot. By the way, I don't know what my grade is, yet.
