Summary: You keep going back for more!
Review: This book is my favorite book and the first and only book that was intresting and pure enough for me a High School student to relate to a understand exactly what Dicey was going through. and i think Cynthia Voigt has done a wonderful job portraing a teens thoughts a believes not only can she make character life like but she gives feeling in everything she writes out of the whole tillerman legece i think this book is the most hart felt book and the one that must have taken alot of time to write and think of but with Voigts creativite and understandance of what teens like a want to read about she would have no problem with these heart felt story.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Voight is a fantastic writer. If I hadn't been taking a childrens literature class I would not have read any of her books. Started out with Homecoming, then Dicey's Song, and then Sons From Afar. My favorite so far is Dicey's Song. I am still planning on reading more about Dicey in Seventeen Against the Dealer. I know the grandmother is old and just getting older, hope they don't have her die off. I really like the relationship that the grandmother has with all of the kids, but think there is that special bond between Dicey and herself. Just an excellent book and series about the Tillermans. Dicey and the rest of the kids turn the grandmother back into the caring person that she is - very outstanding book.

Summary: This book really warms you heart and soul!
Review: This book is really good. But first you have to read the first book, Homecoming. Homecoming will fill you in on whats going on. This book has a real sad ending. I have personally read it about 150 times, and each time I pick up something that I have missed.Every time I pick it up, I feel that I'm going to the Tillerman world. This book is guarenteed to make you cry. If it doesn't, you might be dead. It really touches your heart how Dicey actually can live with the enraging feeling she has for her mother. And how she raises her young siblings alone until she finds her grandmother. And how she's really happy when she has a chance to see her mother again. But then how sad she is when she finds out that her mother has some mental illness. The ending is when her mother dies. After you read this book you should definately read the other Tillerman books like A Solitary Blue, David and Jonathan, and Seventeen Against the Dealer. All of these books are very well written and especially heartwarming. If these books were packed into 1 book, I would be the fis to buy it because I don't own any of them except for Homecoming. I really think that Dicey's Song deserved the Newbery Medal, but so would have every book in that series.

Summary: The book was about a girl's struggle to keep her sibs alive.
Review: I think Dicey's Song was an excelent book! Not many books hold my attention very well and this one I was glued to it 24-7 until I finished it. Homecoming was read to me and when it was done I was in suspense until I read this. What a great book! I praise Cynthia Voigt for how much time she spent writing it. I'm glad I had the honor to read this book and I hope everyone appreciates is as much as I did. If you think this is a good book read (if you already haven't) Homecoming. This book is the sequil to Homecoming. Other books by the author, Cynthia Voigt, Building Blocks and A Tree By A Leaf.

Summary: Another great book by Voigt!!
Review: Dicey's Song is an oustanding novel along with all of the books written by Voigt in the Tillerman cycle. These books are beyond acceptional and refer back to important parts of the real life. Everyone should read these books...they can't get much better.

Summary: This book had absolutley no point to it!
Review: When I read this book, I was totally bored at the pointlessness of it. The whole book was about this girl who just lives her life. Why would you want to read about this girl just going about her daily buisness? I don't know how anyone can enjoy it. I being a young adult,(the base for this book)thought it was also very unrelistic how they described Dicey.

Summary: Dicey's Song is wonderful!
Review: Dicey's Song is great because it deals with real life situations and problems. It is a story about the Tillerman children--Dicey, James, Maybeth, and Sammy. After spending an entire summer searching for a home(in Homecoming), they find their grandmother. Now that they are staying with her, they have to learn to accept and learn from new opportunities. This book is important to people because everyone feels like they don't know what's happening at some point in their life. The overall quality of this book is amazing.

Summary: It was exciting and a great book to read
Review: Dicey's Song was a great book. It allowed you to see how a person needs to let go of some things to accept greater things. Dicey, again, was a strong willed child trying to be an adult. Her grandmother made her stop being so responsible as she had to in Homecoming. Her grandmother allowed her to be free and enjoy the rest of her childhood she had. Again, this was a great and compelling story.
