Rating: Summary: All Good Things Must End Review: Is this an excellent ending to an excellent series? Yes. Were we satisfied? No. 12 short trips to Everworld weren't enough. I don't know about everyone else but I assumed Everworld would run as long as the Animorph series. Maybe even throw in a few Chronicles here and there. All we got was 12 good books. In the long run this book was a nice way to "wrap" things up. But it seems the ending to it was rushed because Applegate wanted to get this series and Animorphs over with and begin on her new series.

Rating: Summary: BOOOO!!!!! Review: K.A. Applegate was so dissapointing! She is good at writing books but awful at ending them! I am watching and waiting for another everworld book, but I have just about given up hope. It is overall a good book, but not a good ending to the series. To ANY series, for that matter. I hope so badly that it hurts for K.A. Applegate to make a 13th book. I also think something should happen between April and Jalil, so that is another dissapointment. So sad.

Rating: Summary: What Ending? Review: My God, that was horrible. I read fanfiction avidly, and went online to see if I could find any about Everworld. One website I went to said the series was over. I thought 'That can't possibly be true, I have all the books from the book store, and I haven't finished the series yet.' Well, I had finished the series without noticing it.There are two factors to JK's work that make me read her books. a) the funny pop culture humor, and b) the feeling of suspense. I can't compare her actual style to the greats, or even to the not so greats. When I read one of her books I dread reaching the end because I know I'm going to want to know as soon as I finish what happens next. After being in suspense for what seemed like forever, I read the last Animorphs book. I didn't know it was the last one until I read it. The fact that it was very obviously the last book in the series quelled that suspense, and I was therefore able to go on with a normal life without wondering what those yeerks were going to do next. I knew what happened to the yeerks. Sure, the books were about character development, relationships, personal strength, ect, but they were also a story about a war. The war ended, and therefore: the series ended. Everworld's conflict on the other hand, did not have a clear ending. We did not learn what happened to Ka Anor. We didn't learn what happened to Loki. Senna opened a gateway between the worlds, we don't even know for sure that it closed. The loyal fans did not get an ending. They got a cop out. And sadly, I'm most likely going to buy Remmnants #1 out of curiousity, and I'll be hooked again.
Rating: Summary: Everworld 12 leaves the Reader wondering What if ... Review: Overall the book was just as entertaining as the previous 11, but it reads like it is missing the closing chapter(s). Ms. Applegate leaves the series open-ended, without an end. Perhaps she tired of writing about Everworld. Or maybe she wants Everworld fans to continue the series, like Star Trek.
Rating: Summary: Okay, so we were "entertained", but where is "the end"? Review: The concept behind this series is intriguing--the old gods leave the real world and form a world of their own; each claiming a chunk of Everworld and functioning according to the rules and sensibilities of their own society. Thrown into this crazy quilt of cultures are five teenagers; four of whom don't know why they are there or how to get home. The fifth, Senna, is a witch who is the gateway back to the real world. Senna, of course, wants to rule the world (doesn't everybody?) and thinks that she can do that with the aid of the friends she has pulled with her into Everworld. How do modern teenagers deal with the insanity and capriciousness of the old world gods while trying to return to the real world as well as dealing with an extra-terrestrial threat which could destroy both Everworld and the real world? The characters mature and develop in the course of the 12 volumes. We see David assume a leadership role which is more meaningful than being on the football team. We see Jalil begin to deal with his OCD. We see April develop into a warrior instead of a one-dimensional "good girl". Christopher probably changed the most, overcoming his racial and religious bias as well as conquering his fears. Senna remains the stereotypical evil villain throughout. The characterization of the various gods is sparse and rather predictable, but might cause a few teens to do some additional research into the myths which Applegate used as inspiration. Unfortunately, after following the exploits of our heros for 12 volumes, the series just quits. We are left with many questions unanswered and with the disappointed feeling that we have been had. Where is the rest of the story? what about Brigid (Irish goddess introduced in book 11, who didn't join the exodus to Everworld and who seems to have some of the answers the kids need)? Why introduce a character only to forget about her half-way through the book? Do the gods actually learn to work together to fight an outside threat? Can swords and arrows really defeat AK-47's? I hope Applegate comes up with a volume 13 which will bring some closure. There is enough death and unanswered questions in the real world: W.T.E.--let's have a happy ending!
Rating: Summary: We NEED a 13 th BOOK k.a. APPLEGATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: The readers of the everworld series need something other than the ending that Applegate gave us!!! I have found through the hole series, she has explained everything down to the last little feature of what Hel looks like and then she just STOPS !!I agree with the other reviews, she just got tierd of writing !! and i was just wanting to put my word in that she REALLY SHOULD WRITE MORE everworld BOOKS because if not people will not read her other books(series) because they will not want to be let down AGIAN with a bad BAD ending....!!
Rating: Summary: Th End Is Here............................. Review: There is a Place that shouldn't exist, but does....... A place where fantastic and wonderful things happen all the time... A place where nightmares become reallity..... What is it? EVERWORLD................. April,Jalil,Christopher, and David have been trapped in Everworld for quite some time now,and they always thought that Senna was the only way out because she brought them in,But Now Senna is dead.....Now they have to find away back to the "Real" world,as they start to slowly fade away in it...Really,parts of them start disapearing back home,Jalil thinks he knows why:He thinks that maybe they don't really want to go back...That does make sense,to everyone but April,She can see why David would want to stay-he will always Love Senna-,Christopher-he loves the beautifil elfin princess, and Jalil, well its the only way he can escape IT......But April doesn't know quie why she wants to stay, she liked it back in the "Real" World.........But,As things start to fall into place, answers are on the way,and so is decision time,Will she stay,or leave...... I think this is well,an okay ending,it kinda just drops off like the Animorphs last book did...In both, its the really into story and thenits the last page, and the series is over!!!!I have to give this book a 3.5,well ok,a 4....Its a great book and has a really good plot, but just, its not the ending for the series.....
Rating: Summary: what can I say...... Review: this book gets five stars by default since thats how I would rate all the others in the series, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't deserve five stars for the book that it is. I've read all the other books in this series and they were all great......and I admit that I wasn't expecting this book to be the way it was. I know most people don't like the ending, and i can't say that i'm thrilled with it either, its very open-ended....but thats not necessarily a bad thing I guess. atleast it lets the reader end it or continue the story however they want.....although I really do want to know exactly, and in detail, what happens to everyone. but I have heard rumors that this isn't really the last book and that there will be more to the series in a few years, and in that case, Applegate has set herself up very nicely for a continuation of the series. I hope thats the way things are. so anyway, I definately recomend this book to anyone who has loved the series as much as I have.
