Rating: Summary: Out of all the books in this series, this is the best by far Review: I really enjoyed reading this book because it really tied together all of the other books in the Mediator series and had a little love triangle going on...hahaha.Basically, what happened in it was Suze starts school again, her junior year, and happens to come across Paul Slater on the very first day. Now, you'll remember Paul Slater to be a mediator himself and how when, in the previous book, he stood in the limboland-like place where the ghosts go when mediators send them off and laughed at Suze and Jesse for having trouble getting back to the real world, when Suze was exorcised to rescue Jesse from that place. You'll also remember that that was when Jesse kissed her for the first time. Well, as I was explaining, she gets really angry (or scared) when she realizes Paul now attends her high school and just blows him off. You soon realize that Paul worked out a situation with his parents to stay in Carmel with his ill grandfather in this glass mansion overlooking the sea just to attend "his dream high school". He only wants to attend it because Suze is there. So, Suze is intrigued by all of the information he seems to know about Mediators and the fact that he seems to think that they are a different, more powerful sort of mediator than Father Dom is. She's still in love with Jesse, mind you, and Jesse's been distant and non-responsive since the kiss, which is a natural downer for her. Add Paul's wild attraction to her and the intriguing information he has on mediators to that and you've got Suze ignoring her repulsiveness towards Paul, giving in and going to his house after school one day. That choice proves to be fatal and they end up in a compromising position with their lips locked...Then, Jesse seems to want to move out (and tells her through Father Dom, which makes her angry and heartbroken)and Paul tells Jesse about their kiss and Jesse and Paul get into this HUGE fistfight while at Brad's party at Suze's house (her mom and stepdad went off on a business trip for the weekend). CeeCee then realizes that this Jesse guy is a ghost and Suze and Jesse kiss at the end and declare their love (knowing that Jesse still has to move out because of this love). As if that's not hard enough to swallow--as a sub-plot, you've got Jake's new college-friend being haunted by the ghost of his dead, angry brother, who, apparently, has violent tendencies towards his living brother. While attempting to break up Jesse and Paul's fight at her house (they were systematically crashing through glass doors and breaking things...ppl thought Paul was on drugs) she remembers what Paul said at his house (when they kissed) about how she can willingly travel to that limboland-place just by thinking about it and takes Paul and the troublesome ghost up there--the ghost opens a door and goes into "the light". Chockfull of events if you ask me...it's a really good read, overall, but it's better if you've read some of the other books in the series too. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Yay! Review: Haunted, the fifth book in the series "The Mediator", which i have been waiting forever for, was most definetly not a dissapointment. I LOVED it! I read it in the short span of three hours, i just could not put it down! You must, i repeat, MUST get this book if you are a fan of Jenny Carroll/Meg Cabot, or the mediator series. And i must mention it was VERY sweet :D All Suze and Jesse fans, you'll want to read this ;-) Anywho since it takes a while for her to get these books out im not expecting the 6th book to come out for at least another year... *sighs* Anywhooo, hope you read this, and enjoy!
Rating: Summary: This is one of my favorite series! Review: i can not tell you how much i have enjoyed every single one of the mediator books, but i'll try! the way author meg cabot (aka jenny carroll) writes is so humorous and relateble, like something my friends or i would say. all of the stories (especially haunted) deal with romance, life, school, and the supernatural... you should definately read this book (but start from the beginning of the series, shadowland, so everything makes more sense!) and i can confidently say, you gunna love this book! =)
Rating: Summary: This is an Amazing Book! Review: The book I am praising today is Haunted, the 5th tale of the mediator. This novel is all about Suze Simon, a girl who has moved from coast to coast so her mom could remarry in California. After being there a while, she has made friends at her new school, has found out she's a mediator (can see and talk to dead people and try to help them get up to the great beyond), and even made progess kissing Jess, the ghost of a cutie from the 1800s that's haunting her bedroom. But, just as everything is going peachy, Paul Slater returns to her hometown. The guy that previously tried to kill her is now wanting to date her and trying to convince her the mediators should stick together. This book is so totally awesome! I couldn't put it down, and I loved every sentence! My advice is to read the other mediator books by Meg first (They are written under her pen name Jenny Caroll). I thought this was a totally diferant book and got confused at the beginning of the book because the character wasn't described very much. Read this book ASAP!!!
Rating: Summary: Haunting Review: I can honestly say that this book is my favorite young adult book and is part of my favorite young adult series. If you haven't already figured it out yet, Suze is a mediator(she can talk and touch ghosts who haven't passed on yet) and has been haunted by ghosts all her life, but now she's being "haunted" by someone who's alive and wants no one but her...*cough*Paul*cough* It's the funniest and best book! I luff it soooo much! Jesse is a major hottie and if your a total Jesse/Suze fan, you'll totally love the ending! but the ending is on such a big cliffhanger, it'll leave you craving for more and the next book does't come out until Jan. ... 2005! thats like a FULL year and some... *cries* T-T i can't wait that long... *sighs* well anyways, buy this book, you'll end up reading it over so many times, the libary or friend you'd borrow it from would start sending you nasty letters... >.>; lol but WARNING before you read this book, make sure you've read the other books in the Mediator series under Meg Cabots other name: Jenny Carroll otherwise it's spoiled... I know i really didn't give much of a summary, but trust me on this, it's such a wicked awesome book, BUY IT ... or else! o.O; whoa, got a lil carried away there... peace man... >>moondragon<<
Rating: Summary: HAHAHA! I SEE DEAD PEOPLE....? Review: I feel that I would have enjoyed this novel more if I knew that it was part of a series. Yes, most novels start off reviewing what happened in the past couple of novels in the series, but this was the fifth book in this interesting series. If only I could have known I would have read book one through four, and then started Haunted by Meg Cabot. If I would have known a little more background information about Susannah's character I probably would have been able to predict the book a little better. I also would have appreciated Jesse's character more, and feared Paul's character more. Have you ever read something and fallen head over heels for the series? I loved this book! But I figure the series will not be the greatest, because I read the last book in the series first. Now I know what the ending is to what all of the other books are leading up to. This book was very interesting, and very very creative, but it was fairly predictable. The idea of someone being a "mediator," and then falling in madly deeply and hopelessly in love with one of the ghosts she is trying to help 'pass on," is completely absurd! Who would be that stupid!? It's just another one of those things that makes this book such a funny novel. This book has many realistic situations you may find yourself in one day (exempting the dead people of course) that makes the girl's life and problems even more adorable! Over all I give this book four out of five stars.
Rating: Summary: i love love LOVE this book!!! Review: this is definitely my favorite book (well, besides the other books in the mediator series, written under meg cabot's pseudonym jenny carroll) and it has THE BEST ENDING!!!!!! i dont want to ruin it for anyone who wants to read the book, but if you have read it, you know what im talking about (i literally screamed when i read the end because it was SO good) i think ive already read this book 5 or 6 times the in last few days, but there are still a few unanswered questions in it, like the whole paul thing, and then what happens with jesse and suze, oh and ceecee, and then what mr slater said to suze at the end i could go on forever... i hope meg writes a sequel anyways THIS BOOK IS EXTREMELY GOOD AND YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
Rating: Summary: Mediator Magic Review: To put it simply, this is a fantastic book! Meg Cabot has the perfect mix of mystery, horror, and romance. She puts suze's feelings on being able to talk to ghosts throughout the book in perfect context. I could feel exactly what Suze was feeling throughout the book. Fantastic!!!
Rating: Summary: A very good book Review: I enjoyed 'Haunted' very much. It was a great paced and interesting book. Simon, the main charicture, seemed very realistic and I liked her style. She's not shy but dosen't have a blue whale for an ego. Simon is smart, pretty and has a strange but totally awsome job. She is a begining mediator who helps stuck souls pass on. I would love to be able to talk and see ghost too. The best part of the book would have to be the ending. Though Simon shouldn't be she is in love with a trapt soul named Jesse. He is a charming and smart guy from the 1800s. Jesse had been murder in his room which is now Simons. She has tryed to help him remember what is keeping him back but he dosen't know. At the end he finally admites he loves her too. The conflict would have to be the most vivid part of the book. The big problem is Paul, Jesse and Simons enemy, wants Simon. Neer the end Paul and Jesse fight and I can see every blow they throw. It was very painful thoough.
Rating: Summary: Haunted - Another OUTSTANDING book by Meg Cabot Review: Haunted, by Meg Cabot, tells the story of 16 year-old Susannah Simon, a Mediator. She can see the dead, talk and touch them. One of these ghosts is a 19th century hottie, Jesse, who haunts Suze's bedroom. She's trying to get his attention, but it may not be working... She's certainly caught the eye of Paul Slater, a fellow Mediator who tried to kill her. Paul has the ability to banish Jesse forever, and Suze's worried... I personally love all Meg Cabot's books, and this is my all time favorite book. Hope you like it!
