Summary: If you liked "The Matrix", you'll love "Shade's Children"!
Review: "Shade's Children" is the story of four children living in the distant future, when Earth is taken over by machines. I thought it was a great book because it had a traditional "good vs. evil" kind of plot with a twist: the heroes are basically regular kids fighting to survive. It had an exciting plot and kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to read Garth Nix's next novel!

Summary: Shade's Children was a great book
Review: Garth Nix's Shade's Children was a very well written book. I liked the interviews and self evalutaions and such that came from Shade at the end of every chapter. They helped give more information and it was just a cool way to write a book. The action was basically nonstop and the book moved along really quickly. I couldn't put it down and finished it inside of 4 days. I like futuristic/Sci-fi type novels and fantasy novels a lot and this book was sort of a mix between the two. The monsters, swords, and the childrens' almost magical "change talents" made it sort of a fantasy. But all of the technology, and "overlords", and Shade himself made it very Sci-fi. I think if you like either fantasy or Sci-fi you will like this book.

Summary: I thought Garth Nix's "Shades Children" was freaky+cool.
Review: It was cool because it was designed for young readers. I also liked the fact that the author took an unbelievable subject and made cool and exciting for young readers. I most definitely reccommend this book not for just young readers but for readers of all agess.

Summary: Very Good Book
Review: This is the first book I've read by Garth Nix and I enjoyed it very much. It's not the best book I've ever read, but I enjoyed it enough to want to check out some of his other books.

Summary: This is absolutly the best book I've ever read...
Review: There is nothing else like Shades Children. It truely was the best book I've ever picked up. From the first page to the last, I honestly could not put it down. Garth is such a good writer I bought all of his other books the next day. Every little thing was in such good detail I could make a little movie in my head the whole time. I'll probably read this book over and over again. I think I'll start reading Sabriel today. I definitly recomend this book to anyone.

Summary: Pretty Good, but it can't compare with SABRIEL
Review: This book has a great beginning that really catches your attention and a good ending, but the middle gets kind of old. I'm sure a lot of people really like this book, but its not my favorite.
