Rating: Summary: A book that tells the truth Review: I read this book when I was a teenager. I had sisters and a brother who were a decade or more older than I. Though they gave me the skinny on how to avoid unwanted situations when dating, they never discussed emotional and sexual feelings for your first love. Judy's book manage's to do this and put to ease some of the anxiety that young women go through in this period of their lives. I am now the mother of 3 sons and aunt to a pre-teen niece, and I am purchasing this book (can't part with my orignal copy after all these years)again because the book still rings true today.
Rating: Summary: Being a teenager I loved this book.... Review: I am a teenager and I read this book beacuse for an english project we did a research paper on an auther. I chose Judy Blume and read about the book Forever. After hearing about it I couldnt wait to read it. I started the book the Sunday I got it and finished it after after 3 hours. I could not only completely relate to this book but it helped me make wiser desisions about what I do. I loved Forever, and every teenager mature enough to handle the sexual content should also read it!

Rating: Summary: where's the dustbin? Review: If anyone wants to enjoy a good bout of trash, then Judy Blume is for you!! i thought Summer Sisters was unbearable, but Forever really takes the cake.In case anyone of you is reading that "book"while eating, take a warning from someone who knows:keep a barf bag with you. I am a passionate lover of books, and believe their purpose is to enchant you and give you new worlds to travel in. They are supposed to unearth the deeper meanings of life and provide you with the richness of knowledge. So you can imagine, fellow avid readers,my reaction and outraged feelings on reading this degradation to the very name of books!I believe Shakespeare must have turned over in his grave when such worthless pieces of trash such as what Judy Blume writes were published. No,but that would be giving her too much importance. What I can't understand is that how such junk came to be published at all. I for one cannot forgive either the 'author' or the publishers for contaminating the minds of so many young people this way,and for ending the innocence of many small readers. It's absolutely beneath my contempt to review such a piece of filth but I had to relieve my feelings. I shall do all I can to prevent my children from reading ANY of Blume's books, but I'm afraid I can't save the poor little children whose attitudes and minds Blume has already ruined.I suppose Blume thought she was being highly radical and open-minded!(of Woman Suffragette Movement fame!). Little would she dream that her brilliant masterpieces of literature(!) would have been better if they had been stuffed down the grate in their cheapest and vulgarest prime. Let us give her credit for her Fudge books at least...I mean it's humanly impossible to write complete rubbish. You can't,I suppose, entirely abandon all vestiges of the common sense the Almighty endowed you with. So,dear readers, take a warning for someone who cares: Do not touch Blume lumber, which is given the imposing name of "books" with a ten-foot pole if you do not want to be completely disillusioned with the legacies of literature set by our forefather writers. Lastly,do not taint the name of the aforesaid legacies by calling her an "author". Feedback will be appreciated through other reviews..
Rating: Summary: I simply couldn't stop reading.. Review: The first time I read this book I was in 7th or 8th grade and its been a favorite of mine for years. True, things don't happen this way in real life, but isn't that what books are for? An escape from reality? I think so. Judy Blume has a wonderful way of making you want to escape and become part of the characters lives.
Rating: Summary: FORVER Review: Book Review Forever Judy Blume Review by De'Andre M. Arkansas They say love is suppose to last forever, but is it really forever? This is the question at the heart of Judy Blume's novel Forever. This book teaches us that love can offended somebody and it causes lamentable and heartbreak. When Katherine and Michael started dating it was like peas and carrots. They thought it was last forever. Until they made the decision to have sex. After they had sex their relationships began to sink like the Titanic. Michael believes their relationship is cool. Katherine, on the other hand, has an experience at summer camp that put her in the middle of a love triangle. Judy Blume is an incredible author. She has an idea of what's really going on in different people's lives. In Forever she's creates characters and a plot that is so realistic. They way she talk about to the Michael. He was someone who I can relate and really feel the way he do. Also when he felt love, on which he though was love. She's made the story plot realistic. She's has an idea of what's people life is really like. It's almost as if she lived it. The places she picked were excellent. It's place were things take place at. When she met a guy at camp. Most girls meet guys at camp that they are attracted to, but she's have a boyfriend. But since her boyfriend isn't there, she thinks she can just take advantage of the issue. Almost every teenager who's been in a relationship where they had problems that can't be fixed can relate to this book. The only thing they can do is move on, even though it hurts when it's the special some one. De'Andre M. Arkansas
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book Review: Blume really captures the essence of teenage love. Many will think that the book is to digusting for teenagers, but that is the problem. Teens are often ignorant when going into relationships and it is hard for them to realize that "love" as a teenager may only last a couple of weeks. I believe that the book truly captured the reality of teenage romance and the responsibilities of deciding to have a sexual relationship.
Rating: Summary: Oh My God!!!! I couldn't put the book down!!!! Review: Forever is about... she meets michael on new years eve there relationship is great until they are seperated by summer. she experiences How you can love someone so much but be attracted to someone else? I really recommend this book especially teens!!!!! Its my favorite book of all time!!!
Rating: Summary: It doesn't happen in real life. Review: The basic idea of the book was okay. In fact, it was a good idea. Judy Blume attempted to capture and put into words the life of a "normal" teenage girl. Katherine is supposedly a normal teenage girl who falls in love with Michael, a guy that is her age. They get closer and they become more active - mentally and physically. Eventually, they have a sexual relationship that they believe will go on forever. Often there are sexual and very graphic scenes introduced in this book. Yes, people, especially today's teenagers need to get a proper sexual education. However, I do not believe this is the way to do that. This book shows people that it is okay to have sex as long as there is protection. This is not a book to be taken seriously. It doesn't happen in real life.
Rating: Summary: Reality for any generation.... Review: Many think this book should be kept off the shelves, out of reach of the average teen, but that's really the problem---ignorance. If teens could learn vicariously what tends to go on in an average relationship, they wouldn't make so many mistakes themselves. Judy Blume does a decent job capturing the "foreverness" of teenage love while being true to the reality that often gets in the way.
