Summary: A great read for young women
Review: I read this book when I was 15 and passed it around to all my friends until someones mother confiscated it! It is a beautiful novel of first love and sex. I got it for my niece and she finished it in 10 hours!! This is not a particularly graphic novel so I wouldn't worry about letting your teenager read it, it's no worse than they hear from their friends and might get a reluctant reader to start reading.

Summary: A book every teenage girl should read
Review: This book opened my eyes to the real world about sexual relations and made me realise that this way of expressing yourself is very serious and may lead to things in the feature. However, it not only tells you that sex can lead to trouble, but also that it is understandable for a teenager to go through thoughts about it. Forever... is a book that tells the truth about sex, unlike other books where the main caracter always ends up pregnant or with a disease, but instead it gives a more general explanation about sex. Seeing as I am a 13 year old girl I would have to say that I think I would be best for all teenage girls to read this book and understand what they will be going through in the feauture. Although some of the parts of the book were really nerve wreaking and graphic, I do not regret reading one word of the book, because I know it will be useful when I cross over the question "Sex or not".

Summary: Where are the morals?
Review: This is the worst book I have ever read. As a young educator, I am fairly liberal when it comes to banning books, but I agree that this book should be banned from school libraries. Katherine and Michael's sexual relationship is detailed in unnecessary graphic terms. Instead of illustrating the beauty of sexual abstinence and restraint, Blume offers the alternative with Katherine's visit to Planned Parenthood for birth control pills. Michael was domineering and, though patient, pushed Katherine sexually. I do not recommend this book to anyone, but if you want your children to read it, don't offer it to them any younger than age 16.

Summary: Not reality
Review: I'm a normal 16 year old girl with a lot of a friends and a boyfriend, and I have to say that this book was insulting. This book made it sound like all teenage girls think about is sex, sex, sex. I feel sorry fr every parent that thinks this about their child because I bet you don't have a very open relationship with your teenager, do you? What teenager wants to talk to a parent that automatically assumes this is all they think about? Not me. Nobody really acts like Katherine and Michael do in this book and if they do it's very pathetic and maybe they should read the book to see how stupid they are acting. A valuable tool for parents? Sorry but you can't start parenting at age 15, 16 when they are already having sex. Good luck with that. You'll just ruin your relationship with your kids. I know how this works. They'll continue to have sex no matter what you do or say and they won't want to talk to you about it. This book is not going to be a helpful tool for a parents. My advice: don't read the book for help; talk to your kid.

Summary: A delicious look at discovering the first taste of true love
Review: Through the authors' equisite writing skills she not only allows us the vicarious thirll of following a young and innocent Katherin one her first journey of true love and ultimate surrender, but also paints a picture of life so real you can almost touch it. Katherin and Micheals whirlwind love story begins one New Year's eve and fully develops until events and separate them in the summer.

If you are expecting a wild story with sex, perversion and violence then don't waste you time ... get another book ... ditto for crime, melodrama and authors that are trying to push an agenda and point of view. .....

This is just as advertised a wonderfull, sweet, and yes, innocent look at real life that young reader will find telling and identifiable while the mature reader will smile and laugh at a walk down memory lane .......

Definitely not my usuall fare in lietrature I have to tell you that books like this are far and few between ....

Summary: Must read for any teenage girl
Review: I first read this book when I was 13 and I thought it was good. Not the best book in the world but still a good story. I picked it up again a year later and when I read it the second time it was like I was reading a different book. I saw how horrible she was treated and this book has changed my life on the subject of dating and sex. I think every girl should read this book at least twice because it is about stuff teenage girls can not avoid nomatter how hard they try. It is a book you can not put down.

Summary: Unrealistic, uncreative, and bland characters
Review: I hated forever...What I hate about this book is that the sex is just put in there as if she wrote it PURELY to shock. And this is supposed to be a love story?!
Come on here! This is two horny teens. That has to be the only place it is realistic...
There are better books out there that deal with teen sex that take a realistic view of it...

Summary: um...
Review: OK...this book is really disgusting. I'm 14 and I cant believe how graphic it is. I guess its a good book, but read it when you are older. Don't let your kids read it because it is the most graphic book I have ever read and really sick. They really describe things in great detail and it is just kind of gross. So don't read this book until you are old enough, which would probably be at least 16. Or make sure that you are really mature. I gave it a 4 because it is a good book though, just really graphic and...gross i guess.

Summary: Realistic and true
Review: My mom recomended this to me because her mom (her school sex ed. teacher) had all the girls read this book in the eigth grade. I couldn't put this book down. It was amazing to find such a realistic book on love and intimacy. The sex scenes were very detailed and the relationship between Katherine and Michael. At first it seemed so innocent and pure then the next minute ravishing in love and intimacy. I highly recomend this to any young female who is in love or just wants to experience it through someone else, read this book.

Summary: Not shocking
Review: I read this book for the first time @ 15. I read it because it was on the list of 100 most banned books in the civilized world. ... Forever was one of the books my mother read as a teenager and the only dated part of the book is the lack of a discussion of AIDS. ... The best part of it was when Kat took responsibility for her health it sent a message to me to be careful.
